Just want to thank all the staff at the hotel for our wonderful stay on the 27th of December. It was my partners birthday and we stayed in the Lucy bed chamber which she absolutely adored. We had the romance package and the flowers, champagne and chocolates were a lovely welcome.
Dinner was lovely and I proposed during dinner and received complimentary glasses of champagne and everything just made it the most special night of our lives. Thank you for everything you all did.. cannot wait to return !

Beautiful place. Had Christmas High Tea. Well organised and very friendly and polite staff. I am not really a sing along person, but the carol singers were quite good and not pushy at all so joining in was fun on several songs and everyone there had a great time as far as I could see. Would certainly go to another event held by the hotel. Thank you for running this event.

Afternoon tea with the D-Day Darlings with friends for pre Christmas celebrations. Wonderful event. The entertainment was fabulous... All the popular 40s tunes plus sing along xmas songs. Service of tea and coffee was really good. Bar available. Afternoon tea very good value but scones were like shortbread.. A bit disappointing that the cakes weren't freshly baked.. But overall a tremendous, good value event.. I had the best company with my friends... But you can't buy that. ☺️

Fantastic venue for a Christmas party, the food was really good for the evening meal. Breakfast was a full English buffet. Hotel rooms are very nice, especially in the main building, those in the anex are a little more basic. The venue looks amazing for a wedding. The grounds are even more stunning when the snow started to fall!

Stayed at this hotel on June 23. The grounds are quite beautiful and with walking around the park. The hotel while historically and architecturally significant is an awful environment for rest. The rooms have no air circulation, thus no temperature or humidity control. They are very stuffy to breathe. The staff are polite, but not customer centric. Would highly discourage a stay st this hotel.

Majestic 13th century abbey turned hotel in Coventry England.
Amazing food in their award winning restaurant. Great wine selection as well.
The deluxe suites are fit for a king or a queen, which I felt like on my recent stay!
The grounds are gorgeous, be sure to explore and bring along your camera!!! You'll want to remember these views.
Also check out the medieval banquet held each weekend.

I'd been to coombe abbey before, many years ago for a wedding... Which was a medieval theme with serving monks who then took off their robes to reveal serving wenches!!
Last year I went back with friends & sister to have afternoon tea here. We booked 4 of us to have the Knights afternoon tea and one had the standard afternoon tea as she didn't eat pork.
The Knights afternoon tea came with a glass of ale, as well as tea/ coffee. We had a cottage pie, scotch egg, etc so it was different to the one with sandwiches. In hindsight we probably should have had 2 Knights and 2 of the other

Only ever been here for a end of term party and to walk around the grounds, and for an afternoon tea. not been to stay inside the hotel, but have looked around and it is very beautiful - very gothic, dark, high backed hairs. then you get into the conservatory where the afternoon tea service is held and it's light, airy, beautiful and pastel colors! the gardens are lovely to walk around or to jog, you can see the beautiful stream where the swans and ducks are. really pretty especially in the summer. the house itself as mentioned is dark and imposing especially when you go down the long drive

Coombe Abbey is a hidden gem. I'm originally from this neck of the woods, and remember many summer days playing in the public parks around the Abbey. At that time, it was a private building, but all of the grounds were open. Now it's a hotel, and WHAT a hotel!
The entire place is a trip back in time. Very little of the original architecture has been changed, with new additions tastefully evoking the building's magisterial beauty, such as the dining area which is essentially a massive conservatory at the back of the building.
We occupied two interconnecting rooms. We are definitely

I have not been to the hotel for any particular large event, but I did go for afternoon tea and cannot exclaim my wonder for it enough! The room, the conservatory I believe, that we had our tea in was exquisite - not to my taste, but even I was in awe at the ornate decoration. The four of us were given our own room at an extremely well laid table and served the most enormous scones, teas and coffees I have ever seen. Staff were attentive and friendly and we were allowed to explore the hotel a little after. Most amazing day.

I have experienced the corperate days side of Coombe abbey twice now and both times they have been a pleasure to deal with.
I organise four trips a year for our company (its what we call our '' teamtogether days'') and commbe abbey has been our venue choice for two events .. one being a treasure hunt and the other being a medevil banquet.
The treasure hunt was brilliant, i never actually realised how many beutiful things there were to see at coombe abbey and i have been going there every since i was a little girl myself, for eg. they have a lot of great tree carvings,

Coombe Abbey Hotel is still one of my most favourite hotels in the whole world even after visiting many others that are more expensive etc
I was extremely pleased with the actual hotel, it is surprising how large it is when you approach the hotel down the drive.
Parking is not a problem and there are many places around to park.
The actual hotel has a strong mediaeval vibe inside, and everything seems very dark and atmospheric, with lots of statues of cherubs, knights and coat of arms.
The staff are really lovely people and help in any way needed.
The rooms are so individual and unique, they are
