This glorious Grade II listed Italianate country house was built as a family home towards the end of the nineteenth century for John Entwisle, the High Sheriff of Leicestershire. After the death of Mr Entwisle's second wife in the 1960s, the house passed to the Snowdon family who turned it into several flats.
Kilworth House Hotel is on the A4304 just four miles east of Junction 20 of the M1 and easily accessible from the M69, M42, M6 and A14. Midland Mainline offer a frequent service between London St. Pancras and Market Harborough. Market Harborough train station is around 20 minutes drive from the Hotel.
Kilworth House Hotel is a breath of fresh air - an enchanting blend of Victorian opulence, fine food and contemporary luxury, set amid thirty-eight acres of landscaped South Leicestershire parkland. This grade II listed former family home has two unique features - the stunning award winning theatre set in a wooded glade beside the lake and the hotel's ornate Victorian Orangery overlooking the parkland.
Kilworth House is part and parcel of the rolling countryside of rural South Leicestershire. The hotel lies at the end of an inviting, tree-lined approach that winds through a tranquil thirty-eight acre estate. Broad lawns in front of the elegant south-facing faade lead the eye out towards distant fields, while a network of paths snake through the woods and parkland.

Not good on this occasion. Took over 40 minutes to get our drinks. One of our group ordered a cocktail. The staff had never heard of it even though it was on their cocktail menu. We were told it couldn't be made as no one 'on site' could make cocktails. Food was good but not impressed with the service.

Was very disappointed today when trying to transfer a booking for afternoon tea. We have two vulnerable individuals in our party and with Covid it makes complete sense to delay the get together. No understanding was provided and in no uncertain terms was told we could not move the booking. Won't be going there again!!!!

We stayed at Kilworth House for my son's wedding. The venue was stunning with views of the countryside all round. The accommodation was excellent with lovely food and wonderful facilities. I couldn't fault the staff who made the wedding an event to always remember. So friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Having just been to the most amazing wedding at Kilworth Hall I felt I had to come on here and say what a wonderful front of house team they had on yesterday.
The food was amazing and the bar staff were friendly but not in a false sense.
100% recommended and I might even have my wedding here having had such a great time!

This is a beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds not far from where the A14, M1 and M6 meet. You drive up a long drive and park outside what was a georgian country house.
You can stay here in lovely rooms. However, as I live not far away, I only ever visit for lunch or afternoon tea.
There are dining rooms for hire. However, most people eat in the amazing victorian orangery at the back of the hotel. It is a glorious structure - huge. There is a bar and a slouchy seating area to take pre drinks. Or, if the day is nice, on the terrace which looks over rolling countryside. The terrace is a great place
