MLD is a therapy where the therapist employs light, repetitive movements over the surface of the skin. These movements encourage the flow of lymph (involved in the body's immune system). Lymph contains white blood cells which are important to fight infection, disease. If we encourage good lymphatic flow, the body's effectiveness dealing with cell debris and contaminants is increased.
