The practice is long established and practises from purpose-built premises completed in 2010. The picture shows a view of The Point, Stenhousemuir from a spot near to where our surgery stands today, hence 'Viewpoint Practice'. The name also reflects our belief in the right of patients to have a 'viewpoint' on their health and care in our practice.

For cuts and minor burns, Sprains and strains, Suspected broken bones and fractures attend your Minor Injuries unit. We want to help you get the right medical assistance when you're ill, injured or have a long term condition. Going directly to the person with the appropriate skills is important. This can help you to a speedier recovery and makes sure all NHS services are run efficiently.

Patient Decision Aids (PDAs) are designed to help you decide which treatments and care options are best for you. PDAs are useful because they allow you to pick out the things that are most important to you (your values) and make comparisons about how different treatments might affect these values.
If you are completing this application on behalf of another person, the Practice will require their authorisation before we can release the data to you. The person whose information is being requested should sign the relevant section within the online form. If the patient is a child i.e.

Please note if you are not the patient, and you have the permission of a third party to act on their behalf, then both persons must be present when completing this online form.We will require them to complete "The Authorisation of Patient if Request made by Third Party" declaration shown below. This section will appear when the relevant consent box is ticked at the end of the online form.
This is to let you know about the way we in the NHS store your health records. It tells you about the Emergency Care Summary which all patients in Scotland have, and the benefits of this and explains how all your health records are stored and linked electronically, and why that is good for your healthcare.
Please inform reception if you suspect an infectious disease, as this will enable us to deal with it appropriately during your visit to protect you, other patients and staff. If a patient aged between 16 and 75 years has not had a practice consultation within a period of three years, we are happy, on request, to provide a consultation.
A range of common illnesses such as cold and flu and minor injuries can be treated at home simply by combining a well-stocked medicine cabinet with plenty of rest. Many patients attend with conditions that would get better with self-care. Studies show that 25-40% of consultations with a GP are unnecessary so it would help if patients only booked an appointment with a GP if they really need to.

Huge thank you to all have assisted/advised with mums recent post op care ( following her LTKR) from the girls on reception, Katrina( District nurse) and work mates, the lovely pharmacists and especially DR. Doyle who home visited.
Despite all the restrictions they are dealing with, they remained, helpful, professional but most of all caring and patient despite the additional stresses they are under!
You are all appreciated more than you will know.
Thankyou
