Barry House

No heating in our room in January. The shower was clean but in any given time 10-20 bugs were there in the corner of the shower. Visible limescale on showerhead. Teeny tiny room. Old furniture in bad condition, also old duvets. The staff was nice at least. Some outlets did not work.

Amazing stay, very convenient location, the staff were helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and we both had good night sleep, no noises. would recommend and stay again!! great value for money.

Excellent location and the staff was really helpful, I would like to express my thanks to the receptionist Shaz and the cleaning lady from Albania all very polite, The room I was staying in was clean, spacious, yes, some things in the room were old fashion but all kept in order and the view from the window was nice, thank you all for your hospitality :)

The receptionist was the most helpful and friendly person I’ve ever met abroad! He helped me fix all of the problems I had. He is very kind, and always ready to answer any questions you have about London:) The room was cosy and comfortable for its price, and the location of the hotel was just perfect (a quick walk from paddington station). If you are not familiar with London, and looking for a reasonable priced hotel, this is a place for you!

If you want the 5 star Ritz or Connaught ...don't visit this place!
If you want a friendly family 3 star hotel then this place was for me! A spotlessly clean foyer on reception, a friendly welcome, and an acceptable room that has linen white sheets and pillow cases. The loo and shower was spotless. These standards remained throughout my 5 days. I did not have breakfast as I needed to be out early ...though an offer was made for croissants to be brought in for me by the Management fresh.
I cannot comment on every room ... but my room ticked my personal boxes... I''ll be back!! Thank you!!

Stayed one night while waiting for a flight in Heathrow. Very comfortable accommodation and good prices, but no lift! However the staff was very nice and let me store my heavier luggage downstairs instead of heaving it up to the fourth floor.

This hotel has no hygiene, and it should not be presented as a 3 star hotel!
The sheets were NOT thoroughly washed, and probably the duvet has never been washed before as it was very smelly!
There were about eight flies that kept me company for the whole stay!
No elevator, lots of narrow steep stairs,
I was going bananas!
Also very unhelpful and unfriendly staff, no professionalism!
Do not waste your time and energy, spend your money somewhere else because if you choose this place, there will be no comfort and you will have restless night!

Close to amenities and underground station clean and tidy rooms good value for money. I would recommend. Definitely.

Me and my wife were visiting London for the first time. We were greeting by the fantastic receptionist who gave us discounted tickets on things going on around the city.
He directed us to a fantastic fish and chips restaurant which was absolutely amazing!
The rooms were nice and warm, the beds were surprisingly spacious and cozy.
We treated ourselves to the all inclusive breakfast which was absolute amaziing. Would definitely visit again.

Great location. We had the upper floor with a bed for my husband and I and twins for our teenagers. This set up was perfect for us as it is hard to find family friendly beds for a boy and girl separate from parents at a reasonable price and Barry House delivered. Decor is a bit dated on the inside as other reviewer commented, but the friendly staff more than makes up for it and it is very clean.

Breakfast was great! Mainly continental style options. I am gluten free and was able to get enough to fuel me until lunch. The staff was very friendly. They upgraded us to the ground level room (we were on our honeymoon from the states and had 2 large suitcases). The rooms were a little dated but still very nice. No cleanliness issues at all! Shower was small, but we learned later in our 3 week trip throughout Europe that this is very common and our restrooms are gigantic by comparison. VERY close to the BigBus hope on/ hope off stops and the underground so getting around wasn't difficult

A lift, bigger bathroom, updated decor. it was awful. Thank goodness only 1 night.
