St George's Hall
The Hall hosts both public and private events each week, including Cinema in the Hall every Thursday and regular live music in the Music in the Hall programme. Our ground floor Community Cafe is staffed by volunteers and opens Monday to Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm - all income helping to meet the costs of running the Hall.

St. George's Hall Volunteers, a group of volunteers based in The Hall have been honoured with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK. The Volunteers run the community cafe and the cinema as well as assisting with music and drama events in the Hall and have a hugely positive impact on the lives of local people.
Services
Rooms for Hire at St George's Hall - Rooms are available to hire for Community, Public and Private Events. St George's Hall has a number of different rooms that are designed to meet a wide range of hirer requirements. We regularly review our charges which are set at a level to help cover the operating and maintenance costs of the Hall.
Wearing of masks is a personal preference but still encouraged. We will return to normal theatre-style seating. However we can arrange socially distanced seating on request in advance or on the night if space allows. Ticketing will continue to be on-line only. If this creates difficulty please call the St George's Hall office on 01299 400110.
Music in the Hall - featuring acclaimed Americana, Folk and Blues acts from the USA, Canada and the UK alongside local and youth acts. Following the easing of pandemic restrictions we have been hard at work compiling a programme for the remainder of 2021. This event was originally planned by Gordon Roberts and Matt Worley and is presented by Music in the Hall in conjunction with Worley's The Swan, Stourport.
Music in the Hall and the weekly Cinema in the Hall are programmes of events that are run by volunteers at St George's Hall to raise funds towards the upkeep of the Hall. In addition we host a variety of other events throughout the year, from community events such as the annual Green Living Fair in the spring to the Bewdley Beer Festival every autumn.
In 2009 the Trustees of St Georges Hall approached Bewdley Development Trust and Bewdley Festival to work with them on redeveloping the Hall, which had been in a poor state of repair for some years. Bewdley Development Trust was engaged to develop the project, obtain funding and manage the build programme.

Nice place for a weatherspoons, great location. Had a small issue with the food being slightly raw but when I informed a member of staff they were more than happy to take it back and send out a brand new meal for us

A huge great big THANKYOU to Ruth, who very kindly came to our rescue after my husband left his manbag in the cafe ( after a delicious bowl of soup!) anyway we live in Peterborough… a long trek back, but Ruth to the rescue, bag located and posted back to us. Such kindness 🌟regards Jane and John (we will be back, husband and bag will be fastened together)

The amazing staff were so nice and friendly, I wish I could replace my family and friends with them. The venue was tasteful, classy, and had lots of individual toilets, as well as an elevator to bypass the stairs. The beer was exquisite, I drank lots (but not too much). Friendly atmosphere, great entertainment, and a big car park.

St Georges Hall holds various events & is also a community cafe, which opens daily. The atmosphere is friendly & welcoming, the seating comfortable & it has an excellent choice of homemade cakes. Once a month it holds the repair cafe, where volunteers use their skills to mend all sorts of items for a donation, which is ethically brilliant, as they are trying to mend items, rather than throwing them away, whilst keeping the old skills alive. They also run a Cinema Club on Thursday evenings, we have watched some excellent films there. It's always good to support the local ventures & this one comes
