Delicious food, attentive service and a comfortable room make this local Italian restaurant our favorite on the edge of Soho. Start with the mussels, which were the "best ever", then move to delicious lasagna or chicken Milanese. Excellent wine selection, cheese cake to take home and we can't wait to return again and again.

We were very impressed with Da Paolo, the food outstanding and service very friendly.
The restaurant is relatively hidden away but clearly popular. We visited on an a Sunday evening and it was just getting busy when we left (we had a table booked at 5.30 after being out all day).
It was good to hear a number of the other clients speaking in Italian and it was also good to see others clearly being well known by the staff.
The food itself was varied and good quality. I had Sardines to start which were lovely and would have been a main course elsewhere. For main courses most of our party had pasta

Beautiful little restaurant, friendly atmosphere, the staff were lovely, very helpful. The food was amazing, I had the Gnocchi, my wife had Risotto, my daughter had a ragu. Absolutely spot on, the food was delicious, we couldn't fault it at all. We didn't drink but they do have a fine and varied selection of wine and spirits. It's a busy restaurant so you will need to book a table in advance.
Hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I did.

Wonderful restaurant for a family reunion after 20 months apart. The atmosphere was great and the service was perfect - unnoticeable. We felt like we could've been in Italy. Be warned though because the portion sizes are huge (not a problem for me). Everything was fantastic about our evening and we walked out delighted with a bellyful of tasty food. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will visit again and again and again👌🙂 (booked in for October)

Service was good, we were served by Mario. He was chatty and friendly. The pastas were great - portions were large and the seafood was fresh! My friends and I truly enjoyed our meal there. I ordered the fresh truffle pasta which was the specials and it was really good. However, the desserts are a bit underwhelming. Would 100% come again!

We had a bad experience at Da Paolo. It was rainy, windy and cold outside (9 degree Celsius) but there was no outdoor heating or blanket. The waiter told us that we just need to deal with it and there’s nothing they could accommodate. We ordered lamb chop medium rare but the dish arrived well done. It’s very hard to mess this up yet they couldn’t manage to cook the meat the way we wanted. The service was subpar and the meal was overpriced for the quality received. We were also charged £4 for 4 slices of baguette bread. We don’t plan to come back here given that there are so many excellent

The atmosphere was that of a traditional back street restaurant in Italy. Photographs and furnishings were beautifully arranged to convey this authentic aura.
The food was cooked with love and expertise, the wine was the finest we'd ever tasted and the welcome was warm and friendly but never intrusive.
Very highly recommended!! ❤️

I came here on Saturday night with my girlfriend and her sister. The staff was friendly enough, but it took one hour and twenty minutes for us to get our food from the time we ordered. Additionally, the server didn't place our order correctly and my girlfriend's sister didn't receive her entree. The food was ok not bad but had little to no flavor. On a positive note, the portion sizes were big. All in all, I highly recommend going elsewhere.

We had a reservation at another Italian restaurant but had to switch because of the time. I am most critical when it comes to Italian cuisine. This place is absolutely perfect. Small and quaint on a nice side street. The cold antipasto was great, the amaretto gelato was amazing and the spaghetti w seafood over a light tomato sauce was to die for. I'm American and we haven't found great drinking water yet. They're bottled Lauretana is the best we've had since being here. I don't post reviews often but this place, especially for the price, is a diamond in the rough. If you

Amazing Italian meal with influence from Portugal. My mom and I stayed at the Rathbone Hotel around the corner from this gem. We were really craving gelato night one of our stay (she's Italian) and the only thing around was a fro yo shop. Before we gave up, we stopped at this restaurant to see if they had any. We took it for take away and it was amazing homemade amaretto gelato with fresh caramel. We decided to go back the next night for dinner. We had the lemon chicken definitely recommend it. Thanks Carlos!

I love catching up with old work friends. I love it even more when the company pays!
This time my usual old work friend catch up was in London with another old colleague of ours, who I found out was retiring in the summer. So this might be the last meal we all get on the company, better make it count!
I saw this place on Yelp and, liking the look of the reviews, thought to give it a go. So I booked (thanks God I did!). We turned up a bit late and got a funny look from the waiter (which does annoy me a bit but then I felt really bad about being late) and were shown to our table. Plus points, they

I have visited here a number of times over the last 6 or 7 years when I happened to be in London. Originally discovered through a concierge's recommendation at a hotel, and I must thank him very much! The food is always great. Most recently had a beautifully cooked lamb shank and cod grill. The former, the meat was so tender that there was really no need for a knife, and the latter had a great garlic taste. I would recommend this restaurant especially if you're planning a romantic dinner!

Nice ambiance, cosy & romantic (ish). Close quarters but nothing out of order by London standards. Starters- we had a special of bruschetta & Parma ham, and mushroom crostini. Both huge but just ok, flavour wise. Mains- we both opted for pasta- I had the linguini with prawn, cherry tomatoes, garlic & chilli. Yummy! Prawns had been butterflied in the shell, de-headed and sautéed. Yummy. My date had tagliolini with crabmeat. He complained the pasta was overcooked. Total bill with a bottle of house white was £78, a bit steep for what we got.

Charming little italian restaurant on Charlotte Place. Warm atmosphere, great service and lovely food. A few italians customers that night made me feel I was on holidays. We ordered way too much considering the portions were quite large but were not disappointed, all the food was fresh & delicious. Great restaurant for a business lunch or a romantic evening.

I had a lovely dinner with my boyfriend at Da Paulo, an Italian restaurant just off Tottenham Court Road. The food was very good and even tastier than some of the food I ate in Tuscany last year. The crab meat and prawn salad was a great starter and the spinach, ricotta and prawn tortellini was superb. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being imposing. There are lots of restaurants on Charlotte Street but Da Paulo is certainly one of the best.

Spend a cosy romantic evening at this classic Italian restaurant. With a specialised menu; this makes it personal all the way. The very attentive owner always making sure we were ok, gave us the best ever service in his capacity.
The dishes are well proportioned (not too much or too little) and the red wine selection is very full bodied, to my liking.
Its was hard work leaving the restaurant, not complaining since the evening ended just as well.

I've been to Da Paolo quite a few times now and I have yet to be disappointed. Good food and very friendly service. Only niggles being that it is a pretty small restaurant and you can be a bit crammed in. Also slightly on the expensive side for the food on offer but having said that I'd go back again.
