Bo-Peep Corner
Children have played at all times throughout history and in all cultural and artistic activities. Play, along with the basic need for nutrition, health, shelter and education, is vital to develop the potential of all children. Play is communication and expression, combining thought and action; it gives satisfaction and feeling of achievement.

Play is instinctive, voluntary and spontaneous. Play helps children develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. Providing a safe, secure, exciting and stimulating environment, with caring adults aware of each child's emotional, social, intellectual and physical needs. Giving your child opportunities to foster confidence, independence and self-esteem, making them feel valued and welcome.
Services
Bo-Peep Corner is a voluntary pre-school playgroup, non-profit making with charitable status - we are registered by The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland - Charity Number NIC104139. The centre is managed by a committee of parents and other interested parties.

We are funded by the Education Authority for the morning session through the Pre School Education Expansion Programme and fees for the pre-pre children who also attend, supplemented by monies raised through fund-raising activities co-ordinated by the management committee. We also maintain links with other centres both voluntary and statutory.
The cost per session is 13.00. Throughout the session children have free play and, at times, perhaps some structured play;. In the final hour there may be songs and games. During this time children are read a story and given the opportunity to discuss anything they feel is important to them;. Rules are kept to a minimum and are made to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
We recognise the importance of providing a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which is conducive to learning. The session provides opportunities for uninterrupted play where children can investigate and explore, problem solve and work together in developing their play. This area of learning is very important for young children in all aspects of their lives.
We foster an environment that allows children to learn through play at their own pace while gaining confidence and independence in preparation for the transition to primary school. Working in partnership with parents/carers, we strive to enable the children to develop their individual potential and ensure each child has a happy and rewarding time at playgroup.
