Cockington Cottages
We look forward to welcoming you at one of our cottages and sharing this wonderful location with you. Cockington is quite unique; quintessentially English and loved by locals and holidaymakers alike. It is described as the green heart of Torbay and is uniquely placed to offer the best of coast and countryside. We have put together our Guidebook which includes a house manual, transport links, details of local attractions, places to eat and more to help you plan your stay.
Services
Every time we stroll around our friendly village, enjoy the springtime scent of wild garlic in the country park or watch the resident heron by the lakes in the summertime, we know why we still live in Cockington Village. It was the prospect of living by the sea that brought us this way. Leon was brought up in Worthing where he loved fishing with his Dad.
Peacefully positioned on the outskirts of Cockington village, we are surrounded by a former Manorial estate and now a 450 acre Country Park. Rural but not isolated as there's our village pub; The Drum Inn, 3 cafes, the Manor House (Cockington Court) with craft centre, ancient church and miles of walking/bike trails.
If you are coming down the M5 then you follow the signs for Torquay via the A380 using the newly opened 'South Devon Highway' that has removed the congestion around Newton Abbott. If you want an easy route to us then once on the new road switch off your sat nav and follow the signs to Torquay. As you enter Torquay follow signs for the seafront ignoring any Cockington signs.

This was our second visit to Wisteria Cottage and it only gets better. The quality of everything in the cottage is superb and the added welcome touches make it a special place to stay. We can’t recommend the cottages highly enough and we look forward to our next visit.

We stayed in Magnolia Cottage for a week between 4th and 11th June. The cottage enjoys a superb location close to the centre of Cockington Village. If you are looking for peace and tranquility - then this is for you but its also close to all the major attractions. In fact we left our car in the drive most of the week and used the excellent local bus service. As for the cottage, the facilities were first class. The living area was a nice size and the bedroom was comfortable and large. Paula had left us a lovely welcome pack including fresh scones, jam, cream and flowers. We would love to return

I have spent many happy holidays in Cockington with Paula and Leon and it is the perfect place to stay for exploring South Devon. It is a quiet, picturesque location, and the cottages are well-equipped, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Paula and Leon really make the effort to make everyone feel welcome and they are always attentive to the needs of their guests. I would definitely recommend to others.

The standard of accommodation at Cockington Cottages is simply outstanding. Paula & Leon have thought of everything and have gone the extra mile to provide a comfortable, stylish and well equipped 'home from home'. The welcome pack of scones, tea & coffee and breakfast for the first morning were very much appreciated after a long journey. The booking process was very easy and Paula & Leon communicated all the arrival information very clearly.
The location couldn't be better. Cockington village provides a quiet and very picturesque setting that offers a relaxing break, while the pleasant walk to

When we arrived at Magnolia House on the 30th of March, we were welcomed by Paula and felt at ease straight away as we were shown around the cottage and told where the local amenities were. We were also told about the village of cockington and the different shops we would find there. Magnolia House is a lovely cottage that is very clean and comfortable. With it being a twenty minute walk away from Torquay, it's easy to access the many shops, bars and restaurants that Torquay has to offer. All round fantastic place to visit and will be looking to return in the future.

Just returned from a week at Mallock cottage and I can only describe it as exceptional!
We were greeted by Paula on arrival but the hospitality started before then with regular communication from Paula on our journey checking if everything was Ok and our time of arrival so she could be sure to be there to greet us.
Upon arrival Paula gave us a full tour of the property and advice on the local area. Also very welcome were the essential provisions for a brew after along day on the road.
The cream scones were a very nice touch, as were the fresh flowers.
The cottage itself is superb. the layout

Outstanding- just returned from a weeks stay at this cottage. The cottage is stunning, cosy, relaxing, welcoming and equipped to a very high standard and thoroughly deserves its 5 stars. Paula and Leon have thought of everything and it is a credit to them. Location superb, on the edge of Cockington Village with lots of walks around Cockington Country Park. Would recommend to everyone and we will be returning. Thank you for the cream tea.

My girlfriend and I spent a lovely week at Magnolia House 1. On arrival, Paula was very welcoming and kind, offering us a lovely cream tea. She also gave us some tips on places to visit and the best restaurants and shops in the local area.
The property itself is stunningly clean and modern but also has a very cosy and homely feel. There is everything you could possibly need, from the perfectly equipped kitchen (with dishwasher and washing machine) to the Smart TV and comfy sofa.
The bedroom was huge with lovely in built wardrobes and a luxurious bed, we didn’t want to leave! We never ran out

Set in a beautiful chocolate box village. Next to wonderful walks and fifteen minute to the beach. The accommodation is of a very high standard, well equipped kitchen, ample storage in the 2 bedrooms with an extremely comfortable bed. Lounge is a good size and has a lovely log burner. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
