Services
We are an independent veterinary practice, operating out of four branches in Newtown, Llanidloes, Crossgates and Knighton. We have been established for over 100 years and are still proud to be owned and managed internally by members of the team. Currently, we have in excess of 20 veterinary surgeons and about 30 support staff to ensure the best quality of service.
Hafren Veterinary Group has 4 branches in North Powys, our staff work closely together to ensure collaboration of knowledge and shared best practice across all our sites. We are accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards scheme which quality assures our practice and facilities. Please note our Large Animal surgery shuts between 12:30 and 1:30 for lunch during the week.

Hafren Veterinary Group has been treating farm animals for well over 100 years. We have a dedicated team of vets offering a blend of youth and experience who are passionate about providing the highest level of care. For cattle, we offer a full range of services including routine fertility visits, regular daytime visits and a 24-hour emergency service.
We offer a full range of equine services and regularly visit horses for emergency and routine treatments. Our in-house laboratory allows same-day results for the majority of samples. Some samples are sent to selected specialist laboratories. We have an ultrasound scanner which is used for the assessment of mare reproductive status and pregnancy diagnosis.
