We are an ambulatory first and second opinion practice and our high quality, mobile equipment allows us to investigate problems in your horse either at your own yard or at the practice.Our strong relationships with local and national referral hospitals ensure optimal ongoing care should your horse require surgery or advanced diagnostic imaging.

Lameness is a common condition that we see and our vets are experienced at investigating the cause - be it in a family pony or a competition horse. Investigation starts with examination of the horse at rest and then assessment of its gait in hand, on the lunge and occasionally ridden. This can be done at your premises if facilities are suitable, or the horse can be brought into our practice.
Our practice is proud to work with many breeding owners every year with a very good success rate, in particular in mares with fertility problems. We offer multiple comprehensive packages to suit your requirements including frozen AI and the fertility work is either performed at your yard or at our premises.
We are able to offer a wide range of standing surgical procedures such as castrations, laser removal of sarcoids and melanomas and enucleations. Our strong relationship with local and national referral hospitals ensure optimal ongoing care should your horse require more complex surgery or advanced diagnostic imaging.
Stretton Hills Veterinary Practice is able to perform pre purchase examination on the client's request to assess the horse's suitability for the intended purpose. Our team's expertise in this field had being supported by attending BEVA courses on carrying out either two or five stage vettings. On request, we are able to travel longer distances to perform a pre purchase examinations at an agreed rate.

Excellent horse vets, I have owned horses for over 20 years and no practice has come close to Stretton Hills, Jamie and his team are both highly skilled professionals and experienced horsemen, they are very approachable and leave you feeling reassured your horse's are in good hands. Highly recommend!
