The Owls Nursery is now open to the little owlets of Blackrod and surrounding areas. Major refurbishments have been carried out to this Bolton Nursery to create a quality setting in a beautiful historic building to provide high standards of childcare. Once again we had a fabulous time at our Sports Day last week.
As usual, the afternoon's events started with a warm up with "Feathers", our nursery mascot, joining in the fun. The children thoroughly enjoyed the various races including the running race, egg and spoon race, sack race and the dress up race. Our Graduation for 2021 took place this weekend and what a lovely celebration it was.

Services
Our imaginatively designed nursery setting offers children the facility to learn through play and exploration. Areas are specifically designed to promote creativity, interaction, role play, water and sand play and quieter reading areas. All rooms have access to our outdoor areas and allow children free flow from inside to outside areas.
We had a beautiful day for our Graduation on Saturday and the children gave us a special treat to commence proceedings, by singing a song learned in their Spanish lessons. They all looked amazing and very grown up in their graduation caps and gowns. Preschool staff gave a presentation to parents about their individual key children, with some lovely comments about the children's progress whilst at nursery.

The children loved the various races including the running race, sack race and the dress up race. The concentration on the children's faces in the egg and spoon race was truly remarkable!
Our Graduation Day was a truly lovely day filled with lots of mixed emotions. It was held in the nursery garden within the marquee and the weather fortunately stayed fine to allow the children to have their garden parade. Each key worker within Preschool delivered a wonderful little speech about their key children.
A really fabulous sports day was enjoyed by all of our preschool children, parents, carers and family members. The four teams in preschool competed in our sports day and everyone did absolutely brilliantly!. The children took part in a sack race, a running race, an egg and spoon race and "throwing the bean bag" competition.
