Services
Alongside routine veterinary treatments we are available on-call 24hr 365 days of the year for any emergencies or advice. Ed has built up a strong reputation and is always keen to consider specialist cases coming from further afield.

Examples such as a blood transfusion on an anaemic Blueface Leicester, a life saving dental procedure on a high priced Tup, the removal of a leg on a Swale tup, along with multiple other orthopaedic operations either on farm or at the practice.
Some days at mile house feel like a chapter from one of 'James Heriots' books welcoming all varieties of small animals from reptiles and rabbits through to cats, dogs and even ferrets. We enjoy the challenging and wide variety of cases that North Yorkshires animals have to offer.

Our practice is fully equipped to RCVS Practice Standards, through achieving the standards and with regular inspections, the Scheme ensures we aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.
Annual vaccinations are a great point for our clients and their pets to get to know our vets. It is a good opportunity to ask the vet any questions while also allowing our vets to bond with their patients. All pets receive an annual health check at this point along with a worm and flea checkover. In order to keep our pets healthy and free from disease it is important that their inoculations are kept up to date.
At Mile House we offer full cat vaccinations against all common cat diseases and additional vaccinations against Feline Leukaemia Virus - a dangerous disease which is spread by cat bites, usually whilst fighting. Cats can have their first vaccination from 9 weeks of age, followed by a booster 3 weeks later which will ensure full immunity.
At Mile House we love Rabbits. We have an annual Rabbit awareness week involving promotions on products and free advice from our nurses. Myxomatosis which is spread via blood sucking insects such as fleas and mosquitoes, even house rabbits are at risk. We recommend neutering of both female and male rabbits between the ages of 5-6months of age, we also Microchip them too so they never get lost!

I took my daughter's dog to the vet. I left my telephone number so they could let me know when he was ready instead of disturbing her in her sick bed. Unfortunately it was lost or ignored. Dog was fine though!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness
I am sure my beautiful girl would still be alive today if I hadn't trusted this veterinary practice. I will never forget this experience as long as I live. I feel as though I let my beautiful girl down trusting this team. The care and attention to detail was horrendous.
