Ark Day Nursery is a family run private nursery. We open from 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday. We believe that because of the size of our nursery our children receive a higher standard of care. Our nursery is like home from home with comforts to make nursery life more special. We have recently been rated by OFSTED as good.
We have our own onsite cook who prepares all of our meals to the highest standard & have been rated 5 stars by the food standards agency. All of our staff are paediatric first aid trained. We have a separate sleeping area, which has both beds and cots with your child's personal bedding which is washed at the end of every session.

Services
These three rooms are situated on the first floor; each of these rooms can cater for up to six children at any one time. Baby Elephants is a calm and relaxed environment, than can cater for six babies at any one time. The experienced staffs in this room are more than happy to follow any routines you may already have in place at home with your child.
These rooms are located on the ground floor of the property; we have Happy Hippo's & Pre-School Pandas one and two. In Happy Hippos the children are encouraged explore freely and self-select toys and activities they would like to play with to develop their independence and creativity, they're also given the opportunity to take part in group activities to develop their social skills and confidence.
Laughing Lions is split into two rooms; we have the chill out room and the messy room. The children are actively involved in their own planning, and are encouraged to use their own ideas and interests to plan the day-to-day activities. We provide holiday care for children aged 5 - 11 throughout the school holidays.
My son has been coming to nursery for 4 years and they have always been welcoming and accommodating to our needs. He has improved in confidence & learnt al lot during his time here. He will miss his nursery 'family'. Parent 5-year-old boy. My son has been at Ark Day Nursery for over a year now and he loves it.
All 3 to 5 year olds are entitled to a maximum of 15 hours of free early years education a week for 38 weeks of the year, which is equivalent to the number of weeks that schools are open. Ark Day Nursery offer these sessions flexibly and they can be used on their own so that no fees are payable or combined with full day care sessions.
