Feversham First Steps was established in 2011 and is an OFSETD registered nursery. We are a thriving successful nursery with a dedicated work team who aim to offer the highest degree of childcare catering to children aged 0-5years. We are open all year round from 7.30am-5.30pm. Feversham First Steps offer a variety of sessions: term time only, AM or PM sessions, and holiday club for the days where you may require additional childcare.

We have paid and funded places available, 15 hour funded & 30 hour funded places are both available. We understand that you may have to fit childcare around work commitments therefore we can offer flexible timings, if you require certain times please contact us and we will be able to give you further information.

Every child matters and is nurtured to achieve their full potential. We have an excellent fully qualified team who are dedicated to enhancing children's learning through a wide range of resources and play.

Staff Report

We maintain the correct staff - child ratios at all times and pride ourselves on the quality of staff performance, experience and varied age ranges. All our staff are qualified to Level 3 and above with Pediatric First Aid training, Safeguarding Children and Level 2 Food Hygiene. Training is ongoing throughout the nursery to refresh and deepen practitioners knowledge and experience.

Parents Report

Creating a partnership with parents depends on having regular and positive contact, building trust and confidence and a genuine commitment to involve parents in supporting their child's learning. We aim to keep in regular contact through newsletters, telephone, letters, informal meetings and parent consultation evenings.

Learning & Development Report

Feversham First Steps follows the Every Child Matters (ECM) Framework and also the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). The ECM and the EYFS were designed to ensure every child had a good start to life. The EYFS is a framework in which children develop over time to achieve a number of goals.

Provisions Report

We believe children should be in a safe environment where they have the freedom to grow, develop and explore. We follow all OFSTED regulations and work within the EYFS. Children are able to access the playrooms and the outdoor provision all year round and we have an eco-lodge and pond where children are encouraged to investigate wildlife as well as care for plants and grow their own fruit and vegetables.

My children absolutely love it here. The staff are amazing with them and you can see the close caring bond they have with the children. My son even says they are his family! The staff always give a detailed overview of the day and are very good at taking into consideration existing routines.
The consistency with staff has been lovely. My daughter has the same key worker that my son had when he started. They have both been cared for by some lovely people.

All staff are lovely, always give me a full breakdown of what my daughter has been doing, keep me updated using Tapestry which is very useful especially with covid and not being able to go inside the building. Glad I picked this nursery for my little one, she’s coming on leaps and bounds, and looks forward to going

After all trasitioning sessions i was told my daughter no longer has funded place, with bizzare explanation such as piece of paper being submitted late etc, which obviously did not make sense, therefore terrible expersince, will not recommend.
