Little Wellies Nursery is proudly family-owned and run by Chris, Linsi, Jason and Jennie who are siblings/spouses with shared family values. Since establishing our first setting in Wrose in 2014 we maintain our day to day commitment of hands on involvement, with the simple aim of providing the very highest standards of childcare and education for children aged 3 months to 4 years, in a nurturing, family-centred environment.
Since expanding into our further settings in Baildon and Idle we have become THE name for trusted, high-quality childcare in North Bradford. At Little Wellies we put the child at the centre of all that we do. Everything that takes place each day is led by each individual child and the staff are highly skilled and trained in following each child's needs and interests. We believe, passionately, that nursery should provide a home from home environment and a family-based ethos.
Hi, I'm Emma and I am the Manager of Little Wellies Wrose, I believe passionately in providing the very highest standards of childcare in a warm, inspiring, family-led environment, where children learn through a wealth of play activities. I have two young children myself, both of whom attend Little Wellies.
Hi, my name is Ame and I am the manager of Little Wellies Baildon. I love running this small, friendly and vibrant nursery. The setting is large enough to be able to offer a wealth of activities, including weekly Rugby Tots and Teeny Linguist sessions, whilst at the same time being small enough for all the staff to know all the children and families well.
Hi, my name is Chris. I am one of the directors of Little Wellies and also manage our Idle setting. Before joining our family business I was a primary school teacher and headteacher for many years. I am very proud of Little Wellies Idle and would love to have the opportunity to meet you, introduce you to our amazing staff team and show you what a special place the Nursery is.
All childcare providers in England and Wales must adhere to The Statutory Framework for The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This sets out the required standards for care and education required by all providers; whether private or state funded. It describes the expected learning opportunities for children in the three prime areas of Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development.

Our daughter has been attending the Baildon nursery for 3 months now and she absolutely loves her Fridays there. All the staff are lovely and have welcomed her with open arms, especially her key worker Emma, who she loves to spend time with. She always comes back messy which means she had lots of fun. Her development has come on leaps and bounds since she started and she’s surprising us with new things every day. Thank you to all the staff for helping her settle in and giving her your time and attention.

My little girl has been at Wrose for almost 2 years now. it was a big change at first for her but the staff were great and always took extra time to settle her. She has a fantastic day every time she goes. All staff have been wonderful with her and she loves to go each day. Seeing her confidence grow each week has been lovely to witness. A big thumbs up from us and 5 stars... 👍 I couldn't have sent her anywhere better.

Our son started Little Wellies Wrose in November 2019 and we couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery. Ethan is quite shy and took some time to settle in but the staff worked with us to make it as easy as possible on him. After lockdown we had a period where he wouldn't talk at nursery even though he chatted constantly at home, we were… worried but the staff (Sammi & Jason in particular) were so patient with him and reassured us. He came round slowly but surely and is growing in confidence every day. 10 months on from this he talks excitedly about going to nursery and looks forward

My little boys first week of settling in this week, I was apprehensive due to lock down but the staff have been amazing with us and I am very impressed. I am now fully at ease leaving my little boy in the capable hands of the staff at Baildon when I go back to work next week. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome.

My daughter has been attending the idle setting since they opened last year! As a first time parent it was extremely difficult sending my little girl off to nursery especially as she was so young too. After a rocky start and her struggling to settle the team have made me feel at ease and now she loves attending. It’s been amazing watching her develop with walking/talking/learning and everything leading up to now potty training. Thanks team 💖

I cannot recommend this nursery enough! Both of my children attend, my eldest will be leaving in September for school and she’s been attending since she was 8 months old, my youngest is 2 and started when she was 7 months old. The staff go above and beyond to care for all children. There are so many smiling faces when I drop off and collect. My children come home full of smiles and conversation about what they’ve been up to during their day. I love the fact that they play out in their gardens come rain or shine and I love the fact that the staff promote that! I love that they get incredibly

As a practitioner at the Wrose Setting for 6 years I love working at Little Wellies! But as parent I was anxious about sending my baby to nursery. He attends the Idle setting and would 100% recommend!! Such a… lovely nursery. Love the garden! (made by my husband)😀 The staff are amazing! And the baby room staff look after my little boy so well! Love that he’s getting involved in messy activities!

Well, what can I say about little wellies. They're just perfect, my daughter started in Jan 2020 and she just loves it, the staff came to visit us at home so she knew them and we had various settling days until she was ready. She loves nursery and everyone time we go she puts her hand out for her bag and toddles in. As a parent this is so… reassuring that she goes in and finds it's safe and fun. She has some lovely attachments to the staff and the videos they upload to the private group on fb are just lovely. They help me see what she does at nursery and how she interacts with the staff

We love Little Wellies! Our little boy runs in smiling every morning and comes home extremely happy and shattered from his fun day.

I would recommend this nursery to anyone who is thinking of sending their son or daughter to. My son is currently at the Baildon little wellies and has now been there over a year, he has come on so many leaps and bounds since joining and continues to everyday. His development has come on so much since joining also his independence of been able to go somewhere to learn and be around other children who he can socials with and make new friends. The staff and owners are so welcoming and friendly and are there to sort or answer any inquiries you may have. I would definitely recommend little wellies

When we first looked for a nursery for our then 6 month old daughter we went with the closest nursery to our house. fortunately for us we hit the jackpot. The nursery itself has everything the children could ask for and they strive to keep improving it. The staff are amazing with the children and my daughter loves going to the point where she cries whenever I go to another room without her at home but when I drop her at nursery she can’t get away quick enough. Both my boys have been with little wellies since February. The eldest settled really well in sunbeams and I immediately noticed he was doing some amazing Learning and development. My little one was in splash and found settling hard but staff were amazing with him and on his first day of not crying, I cried as he was given a certificate. He is now in rainbow room and absolutely loves it he runs in happy and smiles with waves and kisses. His speech has come on amazing as has his development. All the staff are lovely and it does feel like a family I'm so glad I choose little wellies for my boys. With

My nephew loves coming to Little Wellies nursery for 2 years now. He comes home and talks about all the cool things he's been up too and enjoyed. Such a welcoming places where all the staff know the children well, Activities based on the childrens interest is great. I would definitely say he's come on so much with the help of the staff from a quiet little boy now to a chatty grown up boy ready for school. My daughter attends little wellies in worse.
They nursery is such a brilliant and engaging setting, they are always creating new adventures for the children. I particularly like how they involve the parents in activities by setting challenges for the children to complete at home – the autumn walk challenge was great.
The nursery staff genuinely care each child and my little girl has a great bond with the staff in her group. As a parent I find the staff keep me informed of the progress and any issues, I particularly like how they provide advice on things we can work on at home e.g. counting

My daugther has attended Little Wellies in Baildon for nearly 2 years. She loves going to nursery and enjoys the wide range of activities on offer. The staff are great and make a real effort to make learning fun. I have always found the management to be extremely professional and helpful. I would 100% recommend the nursery to other parents.
