Services
Ashfield House is a family owned day nursery that is committed to providing high quality care working within the early years foundation stage framework which is able to be specifically tailored to the individual needs of each child. Our philosophy is that learning should be fun, which is why we provide a diverse range of activities that allow children to explore their surroundings and develop key skills through curiosity, creativity and play.
We know that choosing childcare for your little one is one of the most daunting, not to mention stressful, decisions you will make. You need to be 100% confident in your decision so you have total peace of mind that your child will be valued and sensitively cared for in a friendly, home-from-home atmosphere.
Each day is very loosely organised in that in a full day children will have access to messy activities, singing, story times, outdoor play, sleeps if needed, construction, role play, art and design activities and the opportunity to share their life outside nursery (Wow! moments) during group activities.
Ashfield House provides an environment that is safe and stimulating. The building is equipped with CCTV, boundary and inner fencing ensuring children can play safely. Entry to the building is by security fob which will only allow users into designated areas within the nursery.
Inside we have utilised the supply and design service offered by the high quality children's furniture manufacturer, Community Playthings to help us design and create an environment that appeals to children, to encourage them to engage in a variety of activities.

Our baby room resources provide a wonderful multisensory experience for the youngest of children - full of texture, light and sound. In addition, all furnishings are at a baby's level to encourage them to explore or pull themselves up by. It also features a number of dream coracles that provide an inviting sleep space or cosy retreat for those little ones that are becoming more independent.

I haven’t got a single negative thing to say about Ashfield house. Sebastian absolutely adores it here and he loves the staff! Every morning when getting ready for nursery he gets so excited to see his key worker Kirsty and always asks if he can call her when he’s home😂 I’ve dropped it on the staff there multiple times to see if he can be fitted in for an extra few hours here and there and they’ve always been more than accommodating for him. Even today when I had a family emergency I was able to take him straight there no questions asked.

My little boy Myles started when he was turning one. I honestly couldn't have chosen a nicer place or group of people to help him grow and offer him all those cuddles and attention while I was at work. Its such a family environment where they take time to get to know each child really well. Myles has created lovely friendships with children and staff. An amazing place to start their learning journey. Today is his last day before big school. We will be sad to see him leave but know he has had the best start and is ready for his new adventure.

My daughter Sydney started here last week and it is unbelievable how helpful, welcoming and amazing each staff member is. I could not have chosen a better place for my daughter to go. The food looks amazing, and you never feel judged for calling to ask how your child is doing in the day and I love the system that shows you photos of your child through the day. Kate is especially amazing and I want to thank her for everything and for been so patient with me too🤣. Thank you to everyone at Ashfield House. ❤
