Went as a party of eight to celebrate a birthday.
Food was a mixed bag, the sushi was quite good but have had better, the rest of the food was mediocre.
Serving was a shambles, they bought my wife's main out 15min before everyone else's.
Drinks were a shambles. Kept serving warm beer despite asking for fresh cold ones, the cola was completely flat and the lady behind the bar was quick to snatch the glasses from our hands when we asked for fresh drinks. Cocktails were ok but overpriced IMHO.
But the best let down was the karaoke we had planned upstairs. When we got into our private room we were

A warm welcome to a smart and roomy venue, with attentive staff and generous portions of very tasty food. The three of us all tried different dishes and did a certain amount of sharing. Beef, Chicken and Sea Bass featured in the mains, with rice, vegetables and tasty but not overwhelming sauces Sapporo beer slid down nicely and the desserts were a… fitting finale, with special mention of Mochi from our daughter who was commended for her finesse with Japanese chopsticks. Altogether a lovely, relaxing experience and one we look forward to repeating.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was a truly awful dining experience. They brought the wrong order to my wife, when we told them they took it away, then a few minutes later they came back with the dish to ask if she was sure she didn't want the wrong dish instead, only begrudgingly accepting that we actually wanted what we ordered. I ordered the chicken yaki soba in the photo and it was the saddest dish I've ever had, just noodles, onion, chicken and sauce. Very very disappointing. We ordered sushi and it was tiny, there wasn't even soy sauce provided with it. Even the lemon and coke was disappointingly

This was such a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere special but fun to celebrate with family or friends. We sat at the tepanyaki table in the centre of the room and had a wonderful evening watching the chefs perform their signature tricks, getting the diners involved and making jokes. The lively atmosphere would be great for kids, as long as they're not too fussy with their food (it is mostly traditional Japanese). Not cheap, but worth every penny.
