Amazing food and really superb service. I am very impressed. Jimmy and the team did a super job looking after us. Super curry sauces and meat so tender and well cooked. Also spices balanced and nan light and fully fluffy. I stopped eating curry out as most places in the area are average. This is a first rate place. Well done and thanks, you earned a repeat customer!

I was treated to dinner here by my son and his friend and it was great! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service was friendly and very professional. The attention to detail was apparent from… the table setting to the presentation of the food. Although it was more expensive than your standard Indian restaurant, the ingredients were of a high quality and the dining experience was worth it. Our waiter kindly offered my son and his friend discounts off their next visit as well as a birthday invitation. I will definitely return on my next visit to the UK. 🤗

Lockdown has eased and I'm new to the Derby area, a friend from Scotland had come to visit and Shalimar Gold was highly recommended.
From start to finish, the customer service was absolutely fantastic, they explained the different dishes available and recommendations, checked in throughout the meal to make sure everything was okay. Pal, the manager really did go above and beyond with his service and made us feel so welcomed, and also offered me the privilege club card and explained the benefits I would see from this now being in the area.
We chose to have 4 side vegetarian dishes with rice which

Lovely staff, flavourful & diverse Indian cuisine. Quiet yet inviting atmosphere, clean and professionally presented dishes. I had a unique masala dish that was spiced exquisitely, served with top notch pilau and garlic naan. This is a real gem, my first curry in Derby and may be the only one I'll need to patronise!

This is by far the BEST Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Everything is delicious, but the chicken tikka masala is superb. It also has a nice, comfortable atmosphere. The staff and service were the best I've experienced in Derby, they are very attentive and friendly.
We also had them deliver once and the quality of the food was just as good. This is honestly one of my all-time favorite restaurants.

Old school indian restuarant with a modern, but clumsy, touch.
They've got the token owner in a suit to shake your hand upon entering, far too many staff milling about with nothing to do and tragic decor which is akin to a garish footballer's wedding. They pride themselves on being 5 star rated for their food. And it is very good. But you certainly pay for it. Easily outstripping expensive London restaurants, it's not cheap at all.
But, people seem to like it here. Some people enjoy paying through the nose to have super attentive staff and the owner throw meaningless chat and banter
