LM Baverstock is an independent eyecare practice located in the rural market town of Milnthorpe, near Kendal, South Lakes, Cumbria. The practice was established in 1978 by Alan & Linda Baverstock. Alan retired in 2006 and the practice was purchased by Simon & Louise Budd, both local optometrists. Linda continues to work in the practice part-time.
We aim to provide a high standard of eye-care, carried out in a professional but friendly, relaxed manner. We provide comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens examinations for both NHS and private patients. We treat each patient as we would any member of our own family, and look beyond much more than just issuing a pair of spectacles.

Excellent: I have been a customer of Baverstock Opticians for several years and they have always provided an excellent service, both friendly and professional. Recently, both my mother and myself have needed more support regarding access and Covid and the staff ( particularly Becky ) have gone well above and beyond with their kindness, efficiency and professionalism. Visited this optician for a checkup recently. The staff were very professional and friendly. My appointment was on time and they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, which has been my experience with a few other opticians in the past. They also came up with a solution to allow me to read things that are close up as well as at arms length away. A real bonus for my work as a photographer. I am happy to recommend them.
