At St. Peter's we are very fortunate to have a very pro-active board of Governors who, in addition to their statutory legal duties, are very supportive of the school and give freely their time and expertise to support the children and staff.

Under our Instrument of Government, a legal document which defines the structure of the governing body and characteristics of the school, the full governing body is made up of 16 members, appointed by various bodies, who all play a vital role in the organisation and management of the school. The purpose of the governing body is to conduct the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement.
Following a request from the York Diocesan Education Team a film was produced describing the strategies we use at St. Peter's funded by the Pupil Premium. This footage was shared across Leadership Networks within the Diocese of York. Please contact the school office if you would like to view the video.
At St Peter's, we believe that art is a vital and integral part of our children's development. It provides them with a range of ways in which they can express their individual creativity whilst learning about the world around them. Art enriches our curriculum and topics taught across all the year groups.
