I've switched to Cookes from other pet shops mainly due to the good stock of pet consumables. We have a bearded dragon and find other shops run out of supplies, but I never have a problem with stock at Cookes. It's a bit of a hidden gem, really. Prices are reasonable compared to other pet stores and the staff are really friendly.

Regular Customer. Great range of products, prices are generally reasonable, the staff are pleasant and helpful. Car park is quite small and can be a little tight at busy times, but is fine 90% of the time. Can occasionally be understaffed and a little disorganised, with one staff member on checkout and struggling with a queue, whilst the others don't come to help out. The customers are generally a really nice bunch, there's always dogs to meet in here!

An outstanding pet supplies store with some specialist foods and supplements as well as your everyday supplies for pets of all shapes and sizes, all the foods seem to be on offer , both wet and dry. All the other pet supplies you can want from dishes to beds and most anything you can want . The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. In my opinion it beats the big chains hands down .

Open 7 days, good selections of pet foods. A large store to browse around. None pushy staff. Nice loyalty card scheme on selected Dog foods. I have been using these for years and do not buy my pet supplies anywhere else. Ample parking in front of the building. Walking distance from the Rotherham Train station and RotherhamTown Center.
