Jason Allen is the the proud proprietor of The Fox Country Pub and Dining. Jason also lives in the village of North Luffenham. His life long ambition was always to own his own village pub, that delivers excellent customer service, as well as playing an active part in the local community. Following a successful career in retail, his first pub venture took place in the year 2002 when he acquired and refurbished The Kings Arms in Wing, Rutland.
He then moved on to an even bigger challenge when he purchased the Horse and Jockey in Manton. Of course Jason doesn't take full credit for his pub's achievements, and is extremely grateful and proud of his dedicated, hard working and loyal team. Richard Page Operations Manager, oversees the running of the pub and has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and passionate local chef Shaun Williams heads up the kitchen.

As we would be staying in the village last weekend, I phoned ahead and reserved a table for three for Saturday evening. No problem. We arrived to find a lively atmosphere, and were soon served up a splendid meal. There seemed to be little concern by the clientelle for Covid advice, which was somewhat un-nerving. But the staff had observed most of the advice offered by Government guidelines, and we were able to enjoy our visit and the fine food without anxiety in these strange times.

Living in the village and being a local to The Fox I have, until very recently, taken for granted the fantastic overall service they provide. Often I enjoy the friendly company of the bar staff who are all fantastic, loving & caring to all your needs. But now and long overdue me, my fiance and children decided to dive in the deep end (and with which praying our children wouldn't cause chaos) Dined out. There was however no worries needed..... all staff were professional and courteous, great with the children and the food was exquisite. Me and my fiance chose the salmon on the menu presently, of
