Stayed at this hotel with two friends who have been before. We both had the "dog friendly" accommodation as we each have two small dogs. Our room was good with a lovely, comfortable mattress and pillows. Bathroom was big and I, initially, did not realise it was a bathroom designed for the disabled. The toilet had no lid which I found very unpleasant. Also, in a reasonably upmarket hotel, I would hope to find a magnifying wall mirror. With poor eyesight, I had thought to bring my own but there was nowhere to stand it. The lighting was too poor in the bedroom. I queried the "no toilet seat" in reception

Nice room, comfy beds, but breakfast was poor. My egg was cold, on brown crushed avocado, with no chilli flakes. My husband didn’t get his hash brown, was brought out later, after asking for it. He was asked him to move his car and they never kept his breakfast warm for him. Croissant craggy. We waited ages and it was disappointing, and also puzzling, as there were only 6 of us there! Not worth the £14 each.

Just returned from a 2 nights stay. The room was nice, the food was good but pricey and the location was great. However, because we had a dog with us, we were confined to the Tap room for breakfast and dinner, which made us feel really isolated as we were the only one in there while the other residents were relaxing in the more inviting lounge and restaurant. For that reason also, our breakfast experiences were tarnished as we felt forgotten in our lonely breakfast room. The staff, although nice and smiling, were clearly lacking training: no milk with coffee, serving toasts without bringing butter
