We're an artisanal bakery and restaurant based in both Islington & Hackney. We use traditional techniques and the best seasonal ingredients to create delicious, hand-crafted viennoiserie pastries and fresh pasta with a modern twist. Our coffee comes from local roasters and good friends Ozone, and our wine comes from exciting, independent producers.
We have recently expanded our offering into homeware selling a range of work made by local artisans. You can purchase our house ceramics, linens, glassware and many other wonderful things at Pophams Home!

Services
We have since then expanded our daytime bakery into an intimate evening offering too. For the first few months we will be offering a reduced menu with things such as flat breads, charcuterie and pickles alongside some beautiful cocktails and wines from small producers. Come September we will be increasing the menu to include larger plates.
Pophams was born out of an idea to bring an innovative spin on traditional viennoiserie baking techniques. Ollie Gold, the founder, spent 7 years working in catering departments in various Formula 1 teams, travelling around the world and learning about different cooking cultures in every place he visited.

Love this spot, beautiful in the sun with a few tables and the cute church and courtyard across the road. They have really mastered croissant dough and produce probably the best pain au chocolates in London. I love the specials.. just look how perfectly perfect this little drop of blood orange, Earl grey, custardy goodness looks!

One of the best Pain au Chocolates I’ve had. Clearly freshly made and very nice to have the option of warming it up.
Go earlier to have all the menu available (only reason why it’s 4, not 5 stars - but will come back to find the last star).
Was quite busy but the queue was managed well and the service was very quick. With the quality of the offer, this is not easily done.
Well done guys, keep it up.

Probably one of the best bakeries I have been to. The croissant are as good as any I have had in France. They were the perfect combination of flaky and buttery. The ham and cheese was great. The star is definitely the maple bacon croissant that has really thick strips of streaky bacon inside but just the right amount of maple syrup. They made some great cortados too! I would definitely come back.

A friend evangelised the pastries at Pophams to no end, so we had no choice but to heed her advice and trudge to Islington to sample her two recommendations: the Bacon and Maple Swirl and the Ham and Cheese croissant.
There's no need to agonize over which to pick. The mandate is both. 'Til today, I refuse to pick a winner.
The Maple Bacon Swirl is a beauty: smoked streaky bacon is coiled neatly within a pastry snail shell, then brushed with a maple glaze. It's phenomenal: a triple threat on the palette of savoury, sweet, and smokey, carried by a croissant that is lamination perfection. One bite

I wanted to visit this place for a long time as i heard wonderful reviews, so my thoughts: soup and cheese/spring onion pastry was really good, but I give 4 stars instead of 5 just because my croissant was too dry for my liking. But in general, great and busy place, looks like locals live this place! I do recommend!

I’ve been dreaming of going here for months and I finally made it! And this place has definitely met my expectations! Nice, simple and bright interior, friendly stuff and divine baked goods! This bakery is a treasure tho it’s not cheap but it’s definitely worth it! Already dreaming of going to Pophams again😍

The indoor decoration and the stone utensils are beautiful. Their pastries are also very devious and very reasonably priced. We had the one with bacon and another one with some veggie inside, and we liked it both. Lovely coffee too. It's a quiet and comfortable coffee away from the busy Islington town.

One of London’s best kept secrets in the heart of Islington. The baked pastries and bread here are to DIE FOR! But it’s not just about the baked goods if you ask me. The staff is friendly and truly care about customer satisfaction and the quality of their food.
We’ve been coming since Pophams first opened and we simply can’t get enough of it. Word has gotten a round about the greatness of this place so make sure you go there early in the morning to avoid queuing or having to take your stuff “to go”. I will add that they must hold the world record for largest
