I'm addicted to cakes - I'm proud to say it! Whilst working as a Project Manager in the City I was always on the hunt for something sweet. In between meetings I ended up dashing to large chain coffee shops to get my sugar fix, but they just didn't cut it! I longed for cakes with that 'home baked' taste.
I started frequenting farmers' markets, and watched the emergence of small independent food producers who, like me, take taste very seriously. This combined with the sound of wedding bells and subsequent thoughts about some day starting a family of my own led me to thinking 'enough's enough!' I wanted my children to grow up tasting cakes like the ones my grandma used to make.

I can’t thank Preston and the staff at Sweet Things Bakery enough!!!!!! A week before my wedding 10/9/21 the original baker who was booked 8 months before my wedding disappeared!!!! I called Sweet Things Bakery in hopes to get a wedding cake made with such short notice. I spoke with a young lady at the bakery whom i expressed my issue with and she took my info down and advised that the owner would contact me at his earliest convenience! To my surprise Preston called and advised that he would be able to make my wedding cake!!! I sent Preston a picture and he nailed my wedding cake. My wedding

Absolutely such a horrible place. Had to call TWICE for my childs bday cake, then told they bake the cake 3 days in advance (not fresh then????) And at these prices!? So not fresh, but hey lets go in. And 2 ROACHES crawling on their glass encasement. Nope. Please chose other places. Health inspectors called. -Nicole.

I have heard great things about this bakery but I am very disappointed to say my experience was not the best. I was in town for an appointment and decided to stop in for some sweet treats. They looked amazing but once I got home and tried what I had purchased, I was very disappointed to say the least considering I paid $25 for 6 cupcakes and 4 cookies!!! The cupcakes were not fresh and actually tasted as though they had been made days ago. The icing on them was hard and again tasted old. My kids would not even eat them. Amazing cakes and pastries also great customer service. Preston is a amazing at what he does made me the perfect wedding cake 5 years ago every year we stop back there and get cupcakes in our wedding cake flavors. The vanilla bean is the best vanilla cake ive ever had and the strawberry champagne is to die for

-price evaluation is best after photo of desired cake is wanted....makes sense work hours finished= desired sell price.
-ALL CAKES = CUSTOM MADE PRICING
-$20 6inch custom cake = sister buy Food Lion cake for my birthday
-$1-200 4 tier wedding cake
-tried all of right side counter deserts...
Mostly doesn't like (personal preference), but deserts are good thought out idea/taste.
-Like snickerdoodle cookie, lemon

Giving 5 stars for somewhere I've never been? Absolutely!! I called last minute from the States to see if they could deliver birthday cupcakes to my best friend in London. Beyond Amazing! We had a Halloween Baby Shower and the cake was so adorable no one wanted to cut it...Once we did it was absolutely delicious. I should have taken a stack of business cards because everyone wanted to know where I got it from. I hope I am able to throw some business your way because you were all an absolute joy to work with!!!

I'm obsessed with their chocolate chip cookies. So much so that I literally just walked down to buy a cookie from here after I wrote the first sentence. Mwahhahaha so funny!
They also offer some nice lunch options. I really enjoyed their tuna and cheddar toastie. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for their cupcakes.. quite dry. But that cookie, tho.

Maybe American cupcakes taste differently, but my husband and I didn't care for these cupcakes whatsoever. The cake was a weird taste (not sweet enough) and dry texture--and the frosting also tasted weird. Based on the other reviews, I'm in the minority here. Maybe we caught them on an off day or maybe us Americans prefer a different style of cupcakes.

For children this place is a huge treat, the sugar explosion from the cupcakes, tables with sweets beneath their glass tops make this a great place for them.
They are busy after school with local children being treated by their parents and it gives pleasure to both.
For adults though the cakes are so sugary and each one tastes more of sugar than the actual differing flavours they are meant to be. As a result it is great for children and that is what it is.
The prices are high but not wrong for such a very affluent area.

Okay first of all: I love cupcakes and I love Primrose Hill so in my case, this place is THE place to be in order to enjoy a lazy sunday afternoon.
Sitting at the window, reading a book and eating a lemon cupcake, I really had a great time at Sweet Things.
I already came back to show this place to my boyfriend, who doesn't eat lots of sweets: He actually liked it. A lot. So I have to say: Bravo, well done!!
It won't be a big surprise for you now, that I'm happy to recommend Sweet Things to you.

Whta can I say? You havent lived if you havent eaten the brownines, which I just cant say enough how divine they are, with glitters of gold on the top you will not find another brownie on a par. I'm telling you forget Grandma these you will happily sell her for just one of them.

I wanted some pretty cupcakes to send to a friend leaving her job. But I didn't want to pay through the roof for them (and after being quoted £6 a cupcake by one well known cupcake shop, I wasn't impressed). Then Sweet Things came and made everything better.
The girls who run the place are lovely. I kept on getting the delivery date wrong, and each time I spoke to them the were happy and friendly. They appeared to care much more about who the cakes were for
