Yeast Bakery
Focusing on simple, quality ingredients, we combine the craft, care, and attention to detail of baking to make our viennoiserie and bread. As we grow and expand our bakery we bring the same meticulous approach to each one of our new products. Research, tasting and testing ensure everything our bakery makes is delicious.

We bake fresh every morning and deliver seven days a week to a growing number of boutique coffee shops, restaurants and delicatessens across London. On selected days, the bakery is open to the public and we offer a wide range of seasonal specialities and flavours, as well as breads. We are a small team that takes the time to make things properly, with care and attention to every detail.
Services
We are a speciality viennoiserie bakery based near Broadway Market in East London since 2011. We supply boutique cafes, high-end hotels and restaurants across London. On selected days we open the bakery to the public selling our classic pastries as well as seasonal specialities, sourdough bread, baguettes and Climpson & Sons coffee.
Our croissant is the foundation of our bakery, the recipe that we first set out to perfect and that we've built our reputation on. Naturally we start with the finest ingredients. We then add time, care and the meticulous skill of our bakers to help deliver the best croissant possible each day.

We launched our version of the traditional kouign-amann right at the time when they were featured as a technical challenge on the Great British Bake Off 2014 - and no one on the show knew what they were! Now these delicious caramelised sweet-buttery treats are firm favourites and we always have a few different flavours to try.

Lovely location by the canal, with welcoming and friendly service. we had one almond croissant and one toasted sourdough bread with marmalade for breakfast. the dough of the pastry was excellent, very flaky, but something was off with the cream (way too runny, you needed a spoon to eat it). the toasted bread was again excellent, but the marmalade not enough to even lightly cover one slice. we asked for two long black but were served two americano (i guess our fault since they do not have long black listed in their coffee menu, but could have said?). prices exceptionally high (~15 GBP for the above

Extremely overpriced bakery. The kouign-amanns are not only extremely tiny, but also completely outdated. Almost no one is making them so heavy and doughy, even in Brittany!

Extremely overpriced kouign-amann at mediocre quality. Having eaten probably a dozen of these at various bakeries in Paris, the ones at Yeast are quite small and lacking in pastry texture. Very doughy.

Great spot to catch up with someone for a coffee as the place is very nice to sit inside! The pastries are very good, such a big choice of both sweet and savory options. Staff is very friendly as well :)

Brilliant family run business. Seats with view over the kitchen. Hands down top ten in London! Favourite pastry is the Kouign-amann "a Breton cake, described in the New York Times as the fattiest pastry in all of Europe."

Great selection of pastries. raspberry and custard brioche feuilletée was my favorite, the custard cream and raspberry filling hits the perfect spot. brioche buns weren’t noteworthy, I’d go for the sweets.

First visit to Yeast Bakery. Overlooks the canal with some seating outside. Inside, it is very spacious with a wide selection of pastries, freshly baked on the premises, and they are delicious. The coffee is by Climpson and Son (my favourite) and tastes smooth. Plenty of seating inside. Compares with other coffee/bakeries in the area price wise. The service was good, polite and friendly staff. I will be back.

Visited yesterday for the first time. I would call it an elite cafe/bakery. It felt like I travelled in time and I am in Copenhagen or New York. Amazing. I like the eco friendly coffee cups and everything really. Coffee was delicious and croissant crispy - yum. I love the idea of little ceramic mugs being sold there and bags. You can also see a bit of the back where staff are baking. Very charming place and hopefully see you next month when I am again on Sheep Lane.

New Location for the best bakery of Lond Fields and entire Hackney!!!
I must admit that I loved that underground like feeling of the previous place, but know you can seat in a cosy and modern designed place just in front of the canal, or you can enjoy mouth-watering delicatessens (even salty once) just in front of the canal onto comfy chairs. I’m loving to stay there, over ordering as usual (then take away), with a cappuccino and a book in these sunny summer day enjoying this post lockdown!
I know this quietness won't last much.. So, hurry up!

Wow, what amazing French pastries, croissants, cakes and more. We tried the super cute Brioche Feuilletée which is a tall brioche cake with a sweet filling inside plus a wonderful topping. If you are in the area on Saturday you can visit Broadway Market and eat some street food. Then head to Yeast Bakery for coffee and a cake. Situated inside a railway arch, there are benches outside so it's lovely to sit there in the summer. Buy a baguette to take home later. Enjoy!
