We are renowned as a friendly club, owned and run by the members where the members come first!. We have an excellent condition course with stunning views from most holes across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and the Needles. 3 loops of 9 holes give great variety and accessibility (3 starting points by the clubhouse).

Lovely golf course in glorious weather, 10/10 for the course, despite the recent maintenance which left the greens heavily holed and sanded. .
Unfortunately the staff in the pro-shop get 0/10. We verbally booked a 4 ball weeks ago and verbally confirmed again last week that we would be using County Cards. We were told County Card rate of £50 but we couldnt book an actual tee time (this is the system used by the club) as there was a members roll up until 10.30 - but we'd be ok to tee off around 10.30ish. Checked in and confirmed all of the above to be told:

Pro shop staff were rude and unhelpful. We were told that only professional golfers can play off the white tees. Never heard that on any other of the 100+ golf courses I've played. We saw other guests playing off the whites.
For the first 9 holes we had green staff down the middle of every fairway, the noise got unbearable whilst they waited 20 yards away for us to hit and get out their way.
We had a Marshall follow us round for the first 5 holes (no idea why) but he didn't think it was necessary to tell the 4 members in front of us to speed up play. It took us 5 hours to get round.

Played Stroller & Needles. Both incredible views and challenging holes. Stroller better of the two and harder. Lots of bunkers and some difficult hole layouts on both. Greens are a1 here, best I've played I reckon. Clubhouse really cool. Just a fun place to play and challenging. Lots of par 5s and long challenging ones.
The BUNKERS NEED THE SAND LOOSENING with a metal rake though because they were playing really shallow and it was hard to take sand. Most of the sand underneath top thin layer was compacted, not loose. Apart from that, no complaints. This place is amazing and such a cool quirky

Gorgeous course and super-friendly and welcoming staff. The vistas are delightful and the course was kept in great condition. Our experience was only "dented" by a couple of club members (Two ball) who were a bit "Chopsey" for my liking in trying to rush our 4-ball up in a very whiny manner. We completed the round in 4 hours and came in right behind the 4-ball in front of us so I don't think that is unreasonable and they were never actually at the tee at the same point as us. I get that visitors can can be a pain and being a 2-ball behind a string of 4-balls is unfortunate but Good manners of the

The course was great, the pro shop friendly. BUT the lady I spoke to in the office was rude, said the pro shop "should have known better than to say there was an earlier tee time available and said there was only an hour later time available" when there was no one behind us. She put a damper on the day. Apart from that, every other section of the club was friendly. There are so many beautiful courses to choose from in the area.

Course of 3 nines. It's a mixed layout, some strong holes and others that are a little weak.
The course condition was good; greens, fairways bunkers etc.
The clubhouse and the staff were good.
You get spectacular views of the Needles.
Overall, an enjoyable experience but not a course you'd go out of your way to play.

Lovey course with 3 loops of nine, greens in excellent condition and even though there was a strong breeze for the first nine the course was a stern test. The views were superb looking out to sea, the Isle of Wight, the needles. Excellent value for money even though we had to have twilight golf, only disappointment for us as visitors, with the sun setting the bar was shut as we walked into the clubhouse. After all the covid issues that have hampered hospitality a nice cold pint of San Miguel would have been a lovely, but not to be 🙁
