Welcome to the New Forest Golf Club, the second oldest golf club in Hampshire (by a few months!) and a truly wonderful place to experience golf as it was intended. Set right in the heart of the New Forest National Park on the outskirts of Lyndhurst, it is a course recently voted in 'Today's Golfer' magazine as one of the top 50 heathland courses in the UK.
A relatively flat easy walking par 69, at a little over 5500 yards off the back tees, the course will provide a good test of golf no matter what standard you aspire too. Established in 1888, it is a true members club and is open and welcoming to all golfers. As well as offering a stunning setting to enjoy your game, we have an unrivalled reputation for being a friendly and welcoming club.

Services
Stroke index 1! A proper par 5! Out of bounds down the left off the tee and all manners of trouble down the right for your second shot. After 3 good shots (hopefully) you'll arrive at a well guarded green with a nice view up into Lyndhurst high street.
A good length par 4, not too much trouble off the tee, however with bushes short left and behind the green and then 3 sneaky little pot bunkers short right you have to make sure your approach play is spot on.A dog leg left with a really well positioned bunker on the corner that gathers up many a loose tee shot.

Lovely friendly little golf club, challenging in places and as it has public footpaths through the course you do need to keep an eye out for dog mess (unfortunately not every dog owner feels the need to pick up after their pets) You’ll also see ponies grazing on the course but they tend to keep out of the way. Nice little club house.

Nice wide open golf course. it's part of the New Forest so expect to share the course with ponies and ramblers. Fairly easy but some slopes and ditches to trip you up if you're not careful.
Very friendly clubhouse staff made us feel very welcome.
Best played in the summer and autumn as it can get a bit soggy.

Played on Wednesday 19th May 2021 with my son, best and frienlyist welcome I have received for a long time by the lady in the golf shop.
Do not be fooled by the wide open feeling of the golf course, you need to be in the right position off the tee to get onto the small greens.
Every part of your game will be tested and you will long to return to have another go.
It is worth going out of your way to play, classic british inland golf course just a delight to play and walk round.
