Highcliffe Castle Golf Club is a friendly and welcoming club founded in 1913. It is situated in the beautiful coastal village of Highcliffe-on-Sea east of Christchurch in Dorset and in easy reach of Southampton and Bournemouth. Open to visitors and societies all year around we pride ourselves as one of the most playable courses in Dorset.

It is compact, flat but challenging for every level of ability. Indeed, the late Peter Allis wrote: "for a course with such a small acreage it has a great deal of charm and you need to have quite a bit of skill to get round in a decent score". Good drainage enables year-round golf and the Clubhouse offers something for every golfer from great views over the course and glimpses of the sea to good food or drinks in the bar or on the balconies.

2nd Aug 2020. Very hospitable and such a lovely golf course. Booked last week for me and my son and not disappointed. Tricky short course and very much links esk, so tee offs are key. Lots of blind bunkers and narrow drives. Superb and such a test. Greens in wonderful condition and fairways carry very well.
A testing course and one for the thinker
Many thanks

Friendly club. Tougher course than you first think. Good 'short game' course. One of the best teaching pro's for short game.

If you're a visitor it's a tight short course. The greens are pretty true . Advice : go late afternoon and ring the bar to see if it's busy . It closes when it's dark not 5pm as Google search implies. Staff and members are helpful and friendly. No driving range or chipping area but does have a practice green.
