I went for a hike and saw this cottage, entered and ordered. I got a lattee and cream tea. there was hair and what looked like exma skin in my coffee. I wanted a refund but was told to leave by a person with dandruff. never visit this place. was over priced swell. £13.82 for my lattee and cream tea. ruined my hike across Dorset.

Chose this place for a special birthday for my partner and it didn't disappoint. Very quaint, quite and homely whilst also giving you the feel of excellence. Food, wine, mocktails were outstanding; the menu does constantly change but the fishcake with curry sauce was amazing, as was the special dessert of coffee panacotta with Baileys whipped cream. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back when in the area. Thanks to all staff for making the night memorable

We stayed here for a wedding at Kingston Maurward (10min walk, 5 if not in heels!) and we had a lovely stay. The owners are very nice (thank you for the welcome brownies!) and Buster the welcome dog did an amazing job. Breakfast was very good, especially the maple syrup and bacon toast 😍. Parking was easy, lots of space. Check in process was also easy.
Points I would include to help others would be that the beds have very spring-y mattresses but are comfy. Also the plumbing is loud and can be heard from other rooms (it is a cottage after all!). Thank you for a lovely stay!

This is the first time I have stayed here and was most impressed.
From the wonderfully quiet setting to all the little attention to detail and nice touches in the rooms plus very nice cordon bleu dining with local influence.
If you want a quiet retreat for a day or four and like Dorset, you'd go far to find anywhere better.
