We are a totally non smoking establishment. The Kingswood is ideal for those wishing to explore Weymouth & Portland and The World Heritage Coast. The Kingswood has a rich history having been built in the late 1700's for the Surgeon Commander of the Naval base at Portland, the gardens originally went all the way down to the sea.

Services
We are very proud of our standard of room service and do our best to make all rooms as comfortable as possible. Very quiet Double Room at the rear of the building with 5 foot Double Bed and high quality bed linen. En-Suite bathroom with bath. Situated on the Ground floor next to the road this cosy room has a King Bed with the high-quality bed linen.
You can then either continue to make an online reservation enquiry or call us on 01305 784926 to make enquiries and book over the telephone. If you wish you can also send us a general enquiry using our contact us page. The person making a group booking is ultimately responsible for full payment for all rooms.
The Kingswood is the ideal venue for your stay in Weymouth offering a conveniently located base from which to discover the area. No need to worry about Car Parking as we have our own private Car Park with ample parking for all our guests. We also have a bus stop right outside to take you to Portland or into Weymouth Town.

SarahG (don’t have a google account so somebody has kindly let me use theirs) - I paid for the room for a guest, the guest then got turned away, because there was 1 digit typed in wrong on the booking, they wouldn’t accept his name or let me confirm with my address or email. I tried to speak to them on the phone but they were so rude and wouldn’t let me get a word in. The poor guest turned up absolutely drenched as it was pouring down and freezing, they turned him away and he had to sleep rough for the night. They were also rude when trying to sort my refund out. Just be careful booking with

This place has the potential to be a great place, but it is dire need of a facelift.
The rooms, lobby and decor are mismatched and dated. It needs to be gutted and given some fresh touches, including some fresh paint colors, decor, drapery and wall decorations. Example...the breakfast area ceiling is painted brown.
The basic rooms lack shower curtains and the sink is located in the bedroom. This makes for a messy shower experience. The nicer king rooms have what you need, but the low flow valves on the shower head make showers take 3x as long. However, these rooms also need updating.

Both the male receptionist were fantastic. didn't meet them a lot but you gotta give them some credit.
Perfect covid procedures/you can check in whenever you need to. They had met holders at the front holder so check your emails for the codes.
Didn't take a pic of the breakfast but they had (full English, vegan full English, beans/eggs on toast and smoked salmon. There are some cereal, fruit and yogurt on the side)
They had a lot of patience.
Gave them incorrect details almost 3 times. Lol

The place itself isn't too bad and i suppose reflects the price we paid. Bit tired and dated but comfy enough. Breakfast was very good.
What really annoyed us, was that on the first morning, we returned to the room and it smelt of bleach. We realised that the maid had been in to 'clean' the room whilst we were at breakfast! Never known this before and I've stayed in a fair few hotels in my life. The room hadn't been cleaned just our towels put back on the rail (so we couldn't now tell whose was whose!), and some bleach put down the loo.
The wi-fi didn't work in our room and the issue couldn't
