Our approach at Seasons Nursery is unique. We believe that there is no one perfect "method" (traditional or otherwise) of teaching children. All children are different, all unique, and with this in mind we have blended the most beneficial elements of traditional nursery education with the most nurturing influences from alternative theories such as Steiner and Montessori.
Choosing a childcare provider can be daunting, and we hope that whilst the website and our Facebook page will give you a flavour of what we do, we would encourage any prospective parents to give us a call and come and visit us to get a feel of the nursery and experience what we do first hand - it's certainly how we feel the children learn best!

Our approach at Seasons Nursery is unique. We believe that there is no one perfect "method" (traditional or otherwise) with which to teach children. All children are different, all unique, and with this in mind we have blended the most beneficial elements of traditional nursery education with nurturing influences to create the best standard of daycare in the Stroud and Stonehouse area.
Our philosophy at Seasons balances the requirements of the Early Years Foundations Stage with other educational theories to create a warm, calm and nurturing environment in the Stroud and Stonehouse areas, in which children have the freedom to explore, play and learn.
The educational theories that influence our preschool learning philosophy include Steiner, Montessori, RIE, and a variety of outdoor learning theories, as well as the Early Years Foundation Stage. We believe that the outdoor space is as important as the indoor space, and therefore see the outdoor and indoor areas as one inclusive learning environment.

Our building is a timber construction, which gives an atmosphere of calmness and softness to our environment. We have large, open rooms that afford more space than Ofsted require per child. One entire side of our building is constructed from glass to let in plenty of natural light, and this also opens up to allow easy access to the variety of outside spaces we have.
At Seasons Nursery, we place great importance on the environment and encourage others to share our ethos. Because our nursery is situated in a log cabin and full of resources based on natural materials, it means we act differently, with maximum importance given to outside play and respecting the environment.
At Seasons Nursery, we understand that choosing the right childcare provider can be difficult. All of our team at Seasons have appropriate level childcare qualifications and are fully DBS checked, in addition to being confident in planning, adapting and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Our 2 children have been going to Season's nursery from a young age. They are now almost 4 and almost 2. They thoroughly enjoy going to Seasons and have thrived there. There is a lovely balance of free play as well as learning. The staff are fantastic, very supportive, always listen and seem to really know and understand our children well. Bridget, the manager, is always happy to try and accommodate our needs wherever possible. We would definitely recommend this nursery to others because our children are so happy there. Thank you to all of the staff for their ongoing care and support towards our

Seasons have been looking after my son for the last year, since he was 9 months old. They offer fantastic facilities and the staff have a great work ethic and understanding of the children they care for. They encourage the children to play outside whenever possible and create a very safe environment that allows the children to learn by doing different activities. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery!

We have 3 girls, of which at some time or another have all attended seasons nursery. That alone should be testament to how good we think seasons is. Now that the renovations have been done this has given more space and brighter rooms. The staff are friendly and will always give you time. Would highly recommend seasons nursery.

Our Son has been at Seasons for nearly two years now. I visited a lot of Nurseries and Childminders before I found Seasons. I was immediately impressed. The Manager and Staff are very caring, professional and knowledgeable. They will happily take time to answer any questions you may have. They take time supporting children to settle into their nursery and also during transition into each new room. I like their 'Respect is everywhere' policy. They treat the children with incredible care, respect and encourage independence as soon as possible. They allow children to choose their own keyworker. They

Seasons Nursery is a great and trustfull place. My son started to attend the nursery when he was 9 months old, now he is 28 months old and LOVE IT!!!! Staff at nursery are more than helpfull, always happy to help and smiling:) Days at the nursery are full of fun development activities: streach and grow, dancing, singing, birthday circles (when children have the opportunity to help to bake a cake:) french lessons and many many more. My son talks about his friends from nursery during the weekends and can not wait Monday to see them again. As a parent you want for your baby to attend safe environment

Having tried a few of the local nurseries in the area, I cannot recommend Seasons Day Nursery highly enough. My little boy settled in so easily here with the fantastic settling sessions. All the staff are friendly, and always have time for you to talk about any concerns, or just to let you know what your little one ate that day! Lots of outdoor and messy play, come rain or shine, and the food is always of a very high standard! Excellent structure to the day in preparation for school, and a very calm atmosphere to the nursery, with their "everyone's welcome" play philosophy that my little boy always
