Chestnuts is a small group of day nurseries in Gloucester. The first nursery located in Longlevens was established in 2003 by two school friends who wanted to create a nursery that offered outstanding care and learning experiences where they would be happy to leave their own children. The following year, the nursery was awarded Best New Nursery in the UK by Nursery Management Today.
Six years and five of their own children later, a second nursery was opened in Barnwood offering the same exceptional standards. Barnwood have recently expanded and have opened a separate building for the under 2's.

Services
Children are cared for in rooms equipped and resourced for their age. Each room provides them with the opportunities for exploration and learning, rest and relaxation and fun and enjoyment. Every child at Chestnuts is treated as an individual and staff endeavour to offer as much care and attention as they receive at home.
The dedicated practitioners will tune into the individual learning needs and interests of your child, ensuring that they are fully supported to reach their full potential. We follow the EYFS framework to plan and assess the children's learning. Each child has an individual educational profile created by their key person which can be accessed by parents online.
Your child will be provided with a nutritious and exciting variety of food and snacks by our in-house cooks. We endeavour to cater for all dietary needs. Our older children are encouraged to be independent by choosing and preparing their own snacks. Our meal times are sociable occasions during which we encourage good manners and healthy eating.
