We pride ourselves in caring for your dogs, being dog lovers ourselves we ensure expert care is provided for all dogs large or small, giving them a home away from home.

Services
This service is available by prior arrangement for dogs coming into board or those who require it for doggie day care. Prices vary depending on the distace travelled to cover our costs. This service is provided by Linda's Trans-Fur-Mations on site at the kennels. Prices vary depending on dog size and coat condition.
We are able to cater for all dogs needs. Whether this be special care to elderly dogs, nervous dogs or those that require medication to be administered on a schedule throughout the day or night. At Westmains Boarding Kennels each kennel has a comfortable bedding area, where we can provide any means of bedding from plastic dog beds, blankets, duvets, padded cushions, to crates if used at home.
Viewings are available by appointment daily at 11am or 2.30pm - please call reception to enquire about availability, dates and times. Infectious Tracheobronchitis (Kennel Cough) Although we do not insist upon the kennel cough vaccine, unless there is a known outbreak in the area. We do insist that should owners wish to vaccinate their dogs against the disease that it is done 2 full weeks before arrival at the kennels.
Linda, owner and manager, has over 40 years experience with animals. She specialises in breeding and showing Bernese Mountain Dogs. She has a great affinity with dogs that feel calm and relaxed around her. Equally she is most at home going for long walks up to the fields with dogs, our boarders, who love this interaction.
After rescuing them from a centre, I could never walk them together, now with your assistance I can enjoy walking both dogs together, which saves me so much time. Thank you for taking care of Rocky over the years, we don't know what we would do if he could not come on his holidays, especially, as he needs his 12 hourly epilepsy injections.

Have used Westmains Kennels for many years with our previous labs, so when we required kennel accommodation for Zac it was a "no brainer" as to who to contact.
We collected Zac this morning and while he didn't need any encouragement to get into the car it was obvious he had been well cared for. We were delighted with his appearance - he really was looking his best.

My wife & I were very anxious about leaving our 2 boys Hugo & Harold in a kennel for the 1st time. We checked out reviews & done a pre visit to the kennels before we made a decision to go with Westmains kennels. The staff put us at ease & we were relieved that they treated our dogs the way we would treat them. I phoned after just 2 hours to make sure the boys had settled & was happy that they had. When we picked out boys up they were their bright happy selves & seemed to enjoy the attention that the staff have gave them. A big thank you to Linda, Val & all the staff from Andrew, Robyn, Hugo & Harold

I was recommended this kennels by a friend. I am very protective when it comes to my wee deaf Dottie. She stayed here for just over two weeks while I was away one holiday. Staff are so helpful. Letting me take her down there before I made a decision to leave her there. Letting Dottie get the feel of the place. Dottie has had a hard life being a stray dog and finding her at dogs trust. I got her just coming up a year back. She had alot of issues but has finally settled into the household so well. She was very well looked after at westmains kennels and I would highly recommend this boarding kennels
