Valley Kennels & Cattery are situated in a beautiful, rural location on the outskirts of Milngavie. Set in a wonderful part of the countryside overlooking Bardowie Loch, we are only 6 miles from Glasgow city centre. At Valley Kennels & Cattery we all aim to ensure every dog and cat boarding with us is made to feel very welcome, happy and stress-free - no matter how long or short their stay might be.
Vaccinations are essential! All animals boarding in our kennels and cattery must be up to date with their annual booster. All dogs must also be up to date with their Kennel Cough vaccine. Please ensure the kennel cough vaccine is done at least ten days before the dog arrives at the kennels.

Services
Lead walking through our surrounding woodland area is a huge hit with both our canine guests and our staff. Free running in our grass paddock area is great fun and a great way to exercise the dogs. They can be taken out in groups or on their own, every dog's needs are catered for whether you have an energetic young collie to an elderly more laid-back lab.
We have two catteries which are both fully double-glazed and well away from our canine guests. The catteries are very peaceful, light, bright and warm. Each cat has its own double height run to explore and settle in to. All of our cat runs are large enough for two cats to share from the same family.

We booked online weeks in advance, gave our dogs date of birth/details, told them he was over 4 months old. Drove all the way there the day before our wedding only to be told our dog was too young and had to be 5 months old. Wasted journey, poor dog got car sick, added so much unnecessary stress that could have be avoided in the first email. Will never use in the further.

My two dogs have stayed here numerous times and always come back very happy. Staff very friendly and knowledgable. Love that they upload photos of the animals to Facebook so you can see them when you are away. My dogs are so comfortable here and I feel they are in the best hands. Wouldn’t put them in anywhere else.

Been taking my rescue dog to daycare at Valley Kennels for 3 years and can't praise the staff enough. My dog can be nervous around new people and situations yet loves going there and they always go the extra mile to ensure she happy including giving her her own paddling pool when it hot. Quite a few friends have used it for daycare and regularly for holidays and also speak very highly of Valley and say how much their dogs seem to enjoy themselves in comparison to other places they have used.

After reading the most recent review I was very disappointed to see someone had such a 'bad experience' with the kennels.
I have been using Valley Kennels for years and can only express happiness at the care my dogs have been given.
Contrary to this prior review, it states nowhere on the site, nor have I been misled to believe my dog's would be getting a 2 hour walk every day. The girls assured me my dogs would be walked on a rotational basis.
One of my dogs (an old boxer named Hugo) has a number of medical issues, and takes a lot of looking after. The list of medication and feeding requirements
