Prospect House Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1985 by husband and wife team, Nigel Dickinson and Ann Owen who are still very active in the practice. They are surrounded by a great team of staff including Peter Harlow, for over twenty years and two new enthusiastic partners, Helen Sumner and Phil Owen.
Many of the staff have been with the clinic for over twenty years and it was a sad day in 2019 when our receptionist Lisa retired after 33 years of dedicated service to Prospect House! The clinic has always fostered a family approach with a mutual support network and we have a great team atmosphere.

Services
We feel that this is something to celebrate and be proud of! The founder Vets Nigel Dickinson and Ann Owen are still here, surrounded by a great team of staff. Many of these staff and partner Peter Harlow have been with us for over 20 years and our nurse Tara has stuck with us for 28 of those years!
He enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery and has developed a special interest in dermatology. Helen joined the practice in 2006 and enjoys all aspects of veterinary work especially medicine and anaesthesia. Kat joined the practice in 2014, following experience in other practices. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery and has a keen interest in feline medicine, ophthalmology and small furries.
Cathy has been with us working as a nursing assistant since 2007 and certainly loves her job. She has attended Llysfasi college every Friday to gain her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification. Cathy is happy to support any clients through pet bereavement. Christine has worked as a nursing assistant here here for over 20 years.
Kathy started as a receptionist following equine work but had experience of veterinary work beforehand. Kathy mainly works on Colwyn Bay reception but also helps in Llanfairfechan and assists with account work. Jan has been the manager of our Llanfairfechan surgery since 2006. Being a Cavalier breeder and ex hotel receptionist makes her ideal for running this surgery and she is known by all the clients.
Veterinary work is demanding with long hours and when you have worked all day from 8.00am till 7.00pm you cannot then give your best service through the night as well. Pets can have the worst timing, falling ill or getting injured at night or at weekends and with the Vets Now service you have a dedicated Vet and nurse team on duty at Prospect House, alert and bright through the night.
