Ely Museum
Ely Museum offers a range of different workshops covering many historical periods and age ranges. Our Loan boxes are a great addition to the classroom with real and replica objects covering a wide range of historical topics. Ely Museum relies on donations and support from the public to continue our work and widen our collections. The Friends Organisation is a great way to support the museum while receiving a variety of benefits.

Small but perfect. Love the renovation, we’ve been a few times since it reopened and always find new things to see.

Really interesting to new people to the area. Well worth the entrance fee for a while years membership. Great for kids doing history projects about the area. The local archeological finds are impressive and part of the building is an ex-gaol which adds some extra interactive elements.
Only complaints is that the space is quite small and there is a lot of history to cover so some things have not been covered in much depth.
Overall enjoyed the visit and looking forward to seeing what future exhibits are organised for the gallery

I liked this museum already but now after their new refurb it's even better! It is truly a great place to immerse yourself in the culture and folklore of the region and learn its history, in particular the drainage of the Fens which is covered very well. Highly recommended.

I took the class on painting glass several years ago. What a wonderful experience. I love the Cathedral so much that I painted the labyrinth on my dining room floor so I can relive visiting the Cathedral every day
