Little Smarties developed a new baby suite for our nursery in 2013. This bespoke single storey building allows us to provide a unique atmosphere for your precious babies. It is equipped with a separate sleeping room and this is extremely quiet so that your loved ones can get a good sleep during the day.
What's more important than the great qualifications that they have is that our staff LOVE children. This is the key ingredient to our success as a nursery. We test their ability to engage, listen and respond to children when we interview new members of staff. We operate a Key Person policy. Each member of staff is allocated to a small number of children.
There's a separate baby suite (built in 2012) at the back of the garden and this ensures that babies have a very quiet place to sleep and have a separate outdoor space. This is accessible from the baby suite and they can crawl outside from inside. The floor for the baby suite has under-floor heating (through an air source system) and so have an even temperature and there are no radiators to protect.
We are passionate about the quality of our food and we believe that great food makes a massive difference to your child's development. As part of this ethos, we encourage children to try new things, and get to love food that is actually good for them. There are no sugary breakfasts at Little Smarties, no white bread and no processed food.
A Key Person approach so that you have a port of call for discussing your child's day and this person will take responsibility for providing individual love and care to your child. An open-door policy with the owners - Gerard and Gisela Gray who live next door to the nursery. Longevity and experience - the nursery has been open for over 20 years and 11 years under the current ownership.
