All of our menus are hand-written daily, giving our customers the best produce which is in season. The restaurant is relatively small and welcoming, so we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
We enjoyed the finest dinner experience that we had in a very long time. The restaurant serves fine seasonal scottish dishes with a delicate twist. Even without a reservation, we were welcomed and hosted very special and personal by the owners and their staff. We started of with woodpigeon on chefs special chimichurri and a plate of fresh local mushrooms of the season, sauteed with bacon on rocket.

A very small family run restaurant, did I say small? It can hold maybe 20 people or so. It has been running for about 37 yrs. And I hope for many more. The food is excellent, the detail and care taken shows. Because it can hold so few Booking is a must, and to them every plate counts! You will be rewarded. There is variety to

What can l say, this restaurant is something special. Food was excellent and beautifully presented Very welcoming and friendly. Price wise, whilst some people would say an expensive restaurant to eat at, you would certainly pay an awful lot more in places like London to eat in a restaurant of this standard of food. I Would definitely return and recommend.

This is the best place I have ever eaten! The setting is small, well presented and homely front room with only a handful of tables. The person waiting on you is the owner, and she is incredibly friendly, making conversation, discussing the food and wine with you and generally being a fantastic host. The food is really amazing! You will eat food that you have eaten a hundred times before, say a potato, but suddenly you taste something that you did not know could be achieved with this ingredient. I kept expecting to find some part of the dish that was not so great, but even food I normally would

Ostler's Close is the best restaurant in which my husband and I have ever had the pleasure to dine, a list that includes MIchelin starred London restaurants. Amanda and Jimmy are both fabulous cooks, passionate about using the best possible ingredients, relentlessly attentive to every detail, resulting in superb food. We enjoyed it so much the first night that we immediately reserved a table for the next night. After Ostler's Close, even our favorite restaurants in London were a let-down, only second best. This review from The List says it best: "Ostlers Close still delivers exquisite food born
