We hope to reflect on the beauty of our surroundings and showcasing the bountiful larder in our menus. Fantastic food, every course was amazing, particular highlights the hake and the rhubarb souffle. The setting is spectacular overlooking the firth of Tay and with the sun shining on us I couldn't imagine a more idyllic experience.

First time at the Newport, but will not be the last. Fabulous food, probably the best I have had in Scotland. Friendly knowledgeable young man served us, only 4 months in the job, but well-trained and so helpful. Wish we had asked his name, but we were so enthralled by the food, we forgot to ask. 10 out of 10⭐️⭐️⭐️

Superb 7 course tasting menu. I had the meat version and my wife the vegetarian one. She felt it was a little repetitive for her, with several courses duplicating flavours.
The only issue for us was it took over 3 and a half hours, which was longer than expected, with quite a lot of waiting.
Also, we were seated upstairs at first which was packed with s low ceiling and no air flow, so we felt uncomfortable. We asked and were moved downstairs which was much better.
Overall though a real treat!

Visited with my son and partner for his birthday.
We had the taster menu. Each and every course was a delicious experience that tantalised the taste buds and the service was second to none.
We were made extremely welcome and each dish was explained in perfect detail. A huge round of applause 👏 I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful meal in lovely surroundings with very welcoming staff!!

Absolutely fantastic experience all round, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely. We did find the paired wine flight added a lot to the cost but didn't necessarily feel it was worth it, in the future I'd rather just order a few nice bottles for the table. If I could subtract a half star for that, I would. We'll be going back for sure!

Fantastic taster menu......some excellent wines to go with it. Would prefer to have a bottle of Montepulciano for the entire course the next time around. The attention to detail was great and the dishes were beautiful with the all the individual taste coming through.... Would thoroughly recommend this. Excellent service too..... Great setting overlooking the River and the distant lights of Dundee shimmering through!

We had the 6 course tasting menu and it was amazing! Lots of snacks between courses. Service was outstanding, very knowledgeable staff and food was delicious. Nice view across to Dundee. Well worth the money. Nice little added touch at the end because it was our anniversary. Would highly recommend. X

The sparkling Sunday lunch ( three courses and generous bread and potato skin and dip starter for £35 ) enough variety and interesting food on small menu. The view is stunning and it would be well worth booking a window table. Enjoyed the lunch though missing a little out on atmosphere While I like to able to hear myself talk I don’t want to be able to hear the other tables talk too. Just a bit stilted. Would definitely recommend
