Sheffield Yoga School
Variation maintains our interest and holds our attention - it keeps us present and 'in our body'. As a result we move better, more efficiently and more free from tension. We can now offer places in our dedicated beginner yoga classes. In these classes we take a progressive and systematic approach to learning the various elements that go together to make Yoga practice such an important tool for health and well being.

This training midule is for Yoga teachers & student teachers. It provides training on how to introduce, maintain and develop the teaching of Pranayama in your classes. Philip Xerri is one of the leading authorities on Pranayama in the UK. This is the OFQUAL regulated Emergency First Aid at Work training.

The health benefits of Yoga postures are well documented but there is so much more to Yoga than just the stretches. In our classes we teach a wide range of Yoga practices, including posture work, breathing techniques, Deep Relaxation, Hatha Yoga Cleansing Practices, Meditation / Mindfulness and more.
At Sheffield Yoga School we take a progressive and systematic approach to learning how to practice Yoga. If you get the foundations of your practice right from the start everything else falls into place more easily. When you join our school you will be able to attend a weekly group class, have unlimited access to our live stream online classes, as well as unlimited access to an evolving and comprehensive online library.
There can be a lot of pressure at work nowadays, which is fine if we have the tools to manage it. It is when pressure begins to feel unrelenting that people start to struggle. A Yoga session provides time and space for people to let go the stress and strain of a busy day, to recharge their batteries and to relax!
Yoga for Pregnancy helps you and your baby through the changes and demands of pregnancy, labour and birth. The benefits are felt not just by you and your baby, but by your nearest and dearest as well. Yoga is safe, effective exercise which helps keep the body healthy and strong, preparing for labour and for your new life after the birth.
Mother & Baby Yoga is great for babies as well. It combines gentle stretches with nursery rhymes and gives mums guidance in 'relaxed holding', which helps to soothe babies. The class is friendly and informal and your baby's needs (feeding, changing, sleeping etc) always come first. The aim is to do what you can whilst having fun with your baby!

Really enjoyed the Chakra Dance workshop on Saturday, and the Celtic harpist was fantastic! Has Ciara got any recorded music for sale yet? Great for relaxation.

Fantastic experienced and professional teaching. Classes set up really well. I love it that this is taught as 'whole' yoga and not just a set of exercises. Would really recommend them.
