Lovely ambience and a “pubby” feel. Stopped with a walking group for lunch yesterday: My companion’s ham, egg & chips was, he says, the best he’s had - particularly impressed with the chunky ham slices - whilst I had a delicious sausage & mash, with 3 small but herby sausages, creamy smooth mash, a portion of peas and a full gravy boat of thick brown onion gravy. The Green King IPA was well kept.

The pub itself had lots of old pub atmosphere, the food was delicious but not particularly reasonably priced. Our room left a little to be desired. Beds could have been positioned better, the headboard on one bed creaked every time my husband moved in the bed. There were only two draws available to store clothes in and they had a lots of rubbish and dirt in them. We mentioned it to the lady in charge and she did offer to correct. We also received a free bottle of wine and two bottles of water. Staff were friendly.

Had a fantastic afternoon as this pub. I'd never been before and the landlady was absolutely lovely on arrival. We sat outside, plenty of seating and parasols. The food is excellent, I had the chicken burger. Decent portion and really tasty. Lovely atmosphere at the pub and a mix of all age groups. Highly recommend, will return!

Absolutely loved it! went there today with my mum, dad and 4 year old son and couldn't have asked for anything to be better... management, staff, food and service.... it started to rain and we were bought an umbrella over, then asked if we would like a sheltered table.... couldn't have asked for nicer food too!! for the price I couldn't even finish my meal... and I can eat! 🤣🤣
