Services
All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours funded childcare with some being eligible for 30 hours. This commences on the first term after their 3rd birthday. We reserve the right to implement the funded hours in various ways. These will be discussed on an individual basis prior to enrolment.
We offer 3 meals a day as well as 2 snacks. These are included in the fees. All meals are prepared by a professional catering company called Slice of Pie, who offer an amazing range and huge variety of different meals. All children will have their meals and snacks in their rooms and our staff will eat with them as we believe this helps the children learn a fundamental social skill of eating well, in a group and in a polite way.

Thankyou to Caterpillars for the last 5 years or so looking after our 2 boys that have both grown through the 3 age group rooms. We have loved the personal nature and individual characters that we/they have interacted with. It's a great mix of experience and youth but always enthusiastic and with the children central.
Our boys have come out from their time with you so confident and ready for the school environment. They interact well with their peers and are well liked. They were always happy knowing

My son loved this nursery! The staff treat and look after the children like their own and my son was fond of them as much as they were of him. His confidence grew massively and made lots of friendships and with all the fun learning and play, he was more than ready to start school come September. Thank you caterpillars!

Both my eldest children have attended Caterpillars and my 3 year old is still there and loves it. My 5 year old always wants to pick his sister up so he can see the staff. They are all fantastic and never had any problems at all and are extremely helpful with things like potty training, trying new foods etc. Highly recommend

If you don’t want your child properly cared for then choose this nursery! Children aren’t kept an eye on properly, on my sons longest induction day in the baby room he came out with scratches on his face and nobody had any idea how it had happened, another time he came out with absolutely soaking wet trousers and socks, he was absolutely freezing and nobody had a clue and the manager was in the room!! They say they put everything on the app but in actual fact they tell you hardly anything and when they do it’s mostly lies, for example putting on the app he had eaten all his food and then

Couldn't ask for a better nursery! They have done so much for both y daughter and now son with their learning and development and offer a fantastic transition into local schools for both kids and parents. My son wants to go every day even weekends he loves it there so much! There is so much support for parents, Rebecca the owner is always happy to invite parents in to help in anyway she can. The activities they offer are always creative and very rarely repeated so there's always something new including trips out. I love they practise yoga and mindfulness with the children and I will be genuinely

Moved my daughter from another nursery as she just wouldn't settle. Spoke to Rebecca about our concerns and she listened + understood our worries about moving her again.
She's now well settled, excited to go each morning,she's happy there! She's grown massively in confidence and I'm so grateful for the work gone into that...i dont leave my children with many people but this nursery is fab! She loves each and every one of the staff especially Evie!!
We have updates + photos every time she's there of how she's doing and the observations are great. My only complaint is my meals at home are being

Absolutely fabulous nursery. My son loves coming here. Even on his days off he asks me if he is going to 'school' today. All staff are amazing, friendly, polite and professional. I'm always kept up to date with all that my son has done throughout the day. They are always getting new things for the nursery to help the children progress in themselves. Both of my boys are completely different children to what they were before the went, more confident, speech, learning and they especially helped my oldest on his behaviour. They take their time to learn about each individual child. Cannot fault Caterpillars

My daughter currently attends this nursery and we love it. They have been really involved in her development and any problems that have arisen have always been dealt with personally and empathetically. The owner, Rebecca, is very responsive to emails and any enquiries I have had and the pre-school room leaders have a lovely relationship with my daughter, she frequently tells me she loves them. Will definitely be sending any siblings here!

I love Caterpillars Childcare. I have not had a single bad experience there. I feel completely safe and confident leaving my little girl with the very capable and competent adults taking care of the children. The nursery is welcoming, comfortable, fun and safe. My daughter is happy there and gladly goes towards each of the staff members when I drop her off. Every single one of them goes out of their way to show how much they care for the children, and always give detailed accounts of their day when you collect them. My daughter has access to a huge variety of good clean toys, plays outside as well

My son goes to caterpillars he was very shy and clingy and now absolutely LOVES it! My daughter has also attended went I desperately needed childcare at short notice, this wasn't a problem at all and she loved it too. The staff are amazing very friendly and approachable. The nursery is beautiful too and I can't wait to see the new improvements on the garden soon! Thanks caterpillars! X
