Starfish Children's Day Nursery is a family run Nursery which offers full and part time sessions for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. The purpose built Nursery is located within the Farnham college campus on Morley Road. The focus is very much on development and learning through play. Our two rooms have been designed with the stimulation of young minds at the forefront of our thinking.
Starfish is especially proud of its large and secure state of the art outdoor play facilities and surrounding fields which offers all year round play and learn activities. At Starfish, we are aware that the children will only thrive in a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment. We pride ourselves on giving the children this exact experience. By following the Eary Years Foundation Stage we are encouraging the children to be independant learners: we allow the children time, space and support to enable them to be creative and explore and challenge their own thinking and abilities.
Friday Morning we hold a French class taught by Carole from 'Le Club Francais'. From the age of two children are at their most receptive and are capable of taking in and producing new sounds and words. Their desire for communication can be harnessed to provide them with good linguistic skills. Through a carefully designed course your child will receive a high quality introduction to French!
At Slice of Pie, we believe we are experts in our field of providing exciting nutritious and well-balanced food for nursery-aged children. Moreover, the industry recognises this as well by awarding our chef national awards (NMT 2012 and Nursery World 2011 and 2013) for the food that is produced for our nurseries.
The children have lots of scope for outdoor play, with extensive fields surrounding the nursery and safe, all-weather play areas, all designed with the stimulation of young minds at the forefront of our thinking. The main play area allows the children to play outside all year round, with the benefit of being sheltered from the elements.
