The business was founded in 1907, by Ferdinand Bode, when he began making and repairing bicycles. During the Second World War, the company became heavily involved in munitions work, using the electric-arc welding process. By this time, Ferdinand's son, Eric Bode, had assumed control and he was responsible for the design of the first welding positioner, which led to a great increase in productivity, to the delight of the War Ministry.
With our full on-site engineering division we are also able to undertake both minor modifications and full scale refurbishment's and offer the extra on-site inspection by our own fully trained engineers. Bode recognises the need for on-going support in the use of their equipment and systems and the early resolution of operating or other queries that may arise following delivery of their products.

Bode has the largest range of Seam welders in the World and has patented many of its designs. Bode Seam Welders come in many different sizes to cover diameters from 40mm up to 13 meters. To determine the machine for your needs you will require your maximum lengths of tube/vessel, then the minimum and maximum diameters.
