The Company initially focused on site installation work, but rapidly progressed to the workshop based manufacture of pressure vessels, service and process pipework as well as offering an installation service for these products. In 2001 the Company acquired a new workshop with improved manufacturing and administration facilities, the 786m2 workshop helping meet the demands of an expanding market.
The overall dimensions of the workshop are 53.5 metre long x 14.7 metre wide, with the floor space unobstructed by stanchions and the workshop is equipped with overhead cranes giving a total lifting capacity of 20 tonnes.

From its formation in 1992, Abbfab Services has developed a high level of skill and competency in the fabrication of pressure vessels and pipework, meeting clients high demands for compliance with their specifications and requirements. With twenty-five years experience of pipework fabrication and construction, we have a team of professional, experienced operatives who ensure that your projects are delivered on budget and on time. Abbfab Services are committed to delivering quality products, fabricated to the highest possible standards and conforming to internationally recognised standards, including ASME B31.3, BS EN 13480-4 and BS 4515-1.
Abbfab Services have the capabilities to manufacture pressure vessels, built to meet the requirements of international design codes, such as PD5500, EN13445 as well as clients' individual requirements, for both off-shore and on-shore applications and where applicable being fully compliant with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and 'CE' marked when required.
Abbfab Services have many years experience in the manufacture of skid frame units, both for off-shore and on-shore, having completed numerous multi-discipline skid unit contracts including offshore oil and gas, filtration and separation units. The Company is able to fabricate complete solutions, or, alternatively fabricate base frames and pipework and assemble these together with clients free issued equipment into complete modules.
The welding processes in pressure vessel manufacture have to be of the highest quality. With correct surface preparation, tools and welding techniques we can ensure that these critical welds pass the most exacting inspection standards.
Abbfab Services has the proven capabilities of welding a wide range of metals, ranging from the common structural grades of steel (S275 and S355 groups) to 'exotic' materials such as low alloy steels, Duplex and Super Duplex steels, Hastelloy C22 and C276, Zeron, 9% chrome / 1% molybdenum steel, and 13% chrome / 4% nickel steels, using the following processes, Manual Metal Arc, Tungsten Inert Gas and Metal Inert Gas.
