My aim at Touching Well is to provide the best treatments possible for my clients, using respectful and nurturing touch. One of the beauties of Massage is that its principles and techniques can be used effectively to treat a range of conditions and situations. he truth is we all have different needs.

That's why at Touching Well I offer. It could be that you want a massage to help relieve your aches and pains; to feel more relaxed and rested; to treat an injury; or to reduce some of the stress and anxiety in your life. Being a beauty therapist I have had many treatments from Hot Stone Therapy to Flotation.

I chose the name Touching Well for my practice as it expresses my intention: respectful and nurturing touch to support clients in their journey called life. I did my initial Massage training more than 25 years ago. I had discovered Massage and loved it right from the word go, both giving and receiving it.
Modern life is so busy and putting yourself first can often seem like the lowest priority on your list. It's all too easy to ignore your aches and pains, or pretend that feeling stressed or tense is normal. But it doesn't have to be like that. A regular massage is one of the best ways to cope with the stresses and strains of 21st Century living.
Myofascial release (MFR) is awesome. That is what I came away with from my initial intensive MFR training. It is also the word (over)used by one of our wonderful trainers. Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique. It involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the fascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
While you are pregnant your body goes through big changes - tissues soften, your posture alters and your back is under additional strain. All of this can take its toll on you physically and emotionally. Massage from a qualified pregnancy massage practitioner supports you during these changes. While you are nurturing your baby inside, massage nurtures you from the outside.
We establish at the beginning of each session which treatment is suitable for you. This will obviously depend on your desired outcome, and may change from session to session. Usually it is a combination of the treatments outlined below. On the other hand, you might be drawn to a specific modality, so you can also book a specific treatment.
