Established in 1991, Kneehigh Nursery in Newquay is an independent Early Learning Daycare provider striving to be the best Nursery in Newquay. Kneehigh has 'freeflow' between the indoors and outdoors for the majority of the day. Government funding is available for all 3 and 4 year olds, including 30 hours funding, and some 2 year olds.
We are registered with HMRC to enable eligible parents to have 20% of their childcare fees paid by the Government. At Kneehigh play is promoted as the most appropriate way for children under five to learn. We aim to be as competitive as we possibly can without compromising on the quality of our children's education & care.

Established in 1991, Kneehigh Nursery provides a vibrant and friendly space for children to play and learn in Newquay. With an excellent staff to child ratio: 1:4 for 2 year olds and 1:5 for 2 to 5 year olds, Kneehigh Nursery prides itself on the friendly and stable environment created for all of the children within our care.
I have been involved in pre-school since 1989 when I first took my son to a mother and toddler group in our local village. I soon realised that I was good at playing with children and supporting them to learn through their play. I became involved in the committee for the pre-school, finding out all about how to run a group for children.
At Kneehigh Nursery we have specific aims to prepare your child for school. With all our learning activities we aim to develop your child's knowledge, skills, concepts, ideas and attitudes. The EYFS curriculum makes a positive contribution to children's early development and learning. At Kneehigh we know that the early years are critical in children's development.
At morning and afternoon snack time we provide each child with a drink and a selection of fruit and savoury snacks. At lunchtime, 12pm - 1pm, a hot, healthy meal and drink is provided, or you can provide a packed lunch. At teatime, 4.30pm - 5.15pm, the children are provided with a selection of snacks, fruit and a drink.
