Planting seeds in the hearts and homes of pre-schoolers is the best way for strengthening children, families, and communities. Our meals and snacks are planned using the Healthy Under 5's principles and are freshly cooked each day by our experienced chef. Our staff are recognised with early years qualifications, have been DBS checked as well as holding paediatric first aid and food hygiene certificates.

Chuckles Nurseries Limited opened their first nursery in Truro in 1995; we now operate from settings at Perranwell Station and Baldhu. We provide a family centred approach to childcare. We offer full or part time care for children aged 3 months to 5 years and free early years education for children aged 2 to 5 years, subject to eligibility.

All 3 and 4 year old children (commencing the term after their 3rd birthday) are eligible for 15 hours of free early years education per week, during term time, your child may also be eligible for the 30hrs free education entitlement.Our nurseries are both registered with Ofsted to provide this education for your child.

Chuckles Nursery and Pre-school at Station Road, Perranwell Station is situated in a converted Methodist Chapel in the centre of the village. The nursery provides care for children from a wide catchment area including Stithians, Falmouth, Ponsanooth and Mylor as well as the village itself. Being situated close to the A39 (Truro to Falmouth road) we are just 2 minutes away from the Perranarworthal junction.

My son has been going to chuckles nursery for 2 years now. He started when he was 9 months old, and as a new mum is was so nerve racking, but the staff are so friendly and welcoming. My son was like part of the furniture straight away and always had a great day. Now when I pick him up he’s so excited to tell me all about his day, and the wonderful staff he has spent it with. He loves it and I couldn’t wish for anymore from a nursery. Thank you to all the staff at chuckles.
